CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship hosts Bahamas are into the quarter-finals after their second win of the competition - a 3-0 victory over Belize on Tuesday.

The home nation were winners against Guyana on Monday and followed that up with a solid success against Belize, with two-goal Lesley St. Fleur the chief architect.

The win ensures Bahamas a top-two spot in Group A while Belize have work to do if they are toprogress ahead of their clash with Guyana.

Chances flowed at both ends early on, the hosts thrice hitting the woodwork, but the scores remained level until well into the second period.

The game was hectic and played out with a fast pace amid a lively atmosphere at Malcolm Park, with Bahamas eventually getting the breakthrough courtesy of St. Fleur’s clever finish from a tight angle.

Bahamas continued to press well and defend with strength, taking a one-goal lead into the final period, before Gary Joseph extended the advantage with an effort that bounced fortuitously in the sand and beat goalkeeper Frank Adulphus Lopez.

St. Fleur’s second effectively took the game from Guyana and wrapped up progression for Bahamas, on another solid outing for Alexandre Soares’ men.

Goals: 0-1: St. Fleur, min. 7 (2); 0-2: Joseph, min. 7 (3); 0-3: St. Fleur, min. 5 (3)
