The BLTA congratulates once again Afrika Smith who emerged finalist at Holiday Level 6 USTA junior tournament in Hallandale, Florida. Afrika has had a great season this year. She defeated Leyla Britez in the semifinals 7-6(9), 7-5 and fell short of the title to Ashley Velma 3-6, 2-6. Afrika will be participating in BLTA's Open Nationals which begins TOMORROW.
Sierra Donaldson also participated in the Tournament and emerged the consolation winner by defeating Alejandra Coronel 6-2, 6-2. Sierra will also be participating in BLTA's Open Nationals.
