Steven Gardiner wins in Hungary

Both Bahamians, Shaunae Miller-Uibo and Steven Gardiner performed first place finishes in their events on July 4 at the Gyulai Istvan Memorial in Szekesfehervar, Hungary.

Steven Gardiner ran 44.61 in the 100m, with Luka Janezuc of Slovakia in second with 45.44, Machel Cedenio of Trinidad and Tobago in third with 45.47.

Setting a new meet record of 49.86, Shaunae Miller-Uibo was ahead of American Courtney Okolo who put in a season's best time of 50.41, and in third was Chris-ann Gordon of Jamaica, with 51.05.

Bahamian Jeffrey Gibson was also at the meet and came fourth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 49.74.
