Jacobi Bain continued his great play in the U14 Dr Oetker Junior Trophy Tournament.   The tournament is being held in Bucharest, Romania and features players from all over Europe. On May 26th, Jacobi played in the quarterfinals against the fourth seeded player Radu Papoe from Romania and was defeated 6-2,6-2.  Jacobi's path to the quarterfinals started with a win against Romanian Stefan Andrei 6-4, 6-1, Jacobi then went on to play the 16th seed Alan Borjaski from Poland.  He also played doubles by teaming up with  Ion Chrita from Romania.  The duo beat  Butnaru and Saki (both from Romania) 6-0, 6-2.  The duo beat Gaponeko and Popeanga in a highly contested match 7-6(8) 6-7(5) 10-5.  He advances  in doubles play on tomorrow.

Jacobi has a great future ahead as he competes with some of Europe's best.  It is always good for The Bahamas when the talent of our junior tennis athletes is displayed abroad.
