Jody Turnquest won the London Springs Slam Open in London Ontario Canada in April.
Jody entered the tournament seeded 2nd and won his opening match over Alessandro Sant Angelou who was seeded 3rd 6-3, 6-7, 7-6. He then faced Alejandro Cortes winning decisively 6-0 7-5. Jody then moved on to play Mike Lay where he won in two sets 6-1, 6-3.
In the finals Jody faced Stefan Frijanic where his consistent and talented tennis play proved to be more than enough as he won over Stefan 6-3, 6-3.
The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association congratulates Jody on winning this Open Tennis tournament in Canada. Jody participated on the 2018 Bahamas Davis Cup team and has represented the Bahamas well on the international tennis stage. We wish Jody continued tennis success.
