Freeport, Bahamas - As the countdown to 40 Greatest Basketball Players the question to be asked where are the great Teams who were the Pacesetters for the growth the game of Basketball

The Lobsters Basketball Team will engage with players and Lobsters Fan and the Grand Bahama Players from west end to east end of Grand Bahama as we use The First Bahamas Basketball Championship team for Grand Bahama, The Island Lobsters 1979-1890 as the foundation for this reunion.

Coach Terry Wildgoose will host the Lobsters Week June 1 - 7, 2014. We will use this event to promote 1979 – 1980 Players and Lobsters family celebration Independence weekend 2015.

The Lobsters Family Reunion in Grand Bahama will be held during Independence Weekend July 9 -12, 2015. As we promote the Lobsters Legends 1979-1980, our goal is to initiate the Lobsters Basketball Academy for Juniors and Seniors Basketball program for Boys and Girls.

The Island Lobsters 1989-1990 team beat one of the Greatest Colonels Team in history. The Colonels came into that National Championship in 1979-1980 with a 23-0 record and I have not heard or read where these young men names are involved with the greatest 40 players. I do believe that Basketball is a Team Sport and to accomplish any Purpose or any Goals it would take team work, to unite the Senior Basketball players and Basketball Team is what you call Legend every player cannot be a Legend.
