This weekend in Turkey the Bahamas had two players Philip Major and Joshua Turnquest participating in the International Tennis Federation Pro Circuit.   Philip who is presently on tour with fellow Bahamian Joshua Turnquest in Turkey has advanced to the 3rd round of the qualifying.  Philip continues to shine as this is the third time in three weeks that he has advanced to the 3rd round Qualifyings in an ITF Pro Tournament.   In the last two tournaments Philip was successful in making it to the Main Draw but lost in the fist round.  He is hoping for better success in this F6 Futures Pro Circuit Tournament . The path so far in this tournament for Philip  included a win over Mert Altinalev from Turkey 6-2,6-3.  Philip then played the 9th seeded player Milan Habrman from Slovakia 6-2,6-2. With yet another opportunity to make it to the Main Draw Philip will face Julian Onken from Germany who is the 6th seeded player in this tournament.   Philip has been successful against many other high ranked pro circuit players over the past few weeks and will have to play some of his best tennis to gain another entry into the Main Draw.

Also playing in this tournament is 17 year old Joshua Turnquest.   Joshua is also playing well and faced the 6th seeded Julian Onken who Major will face tomorrow.  Joshua who is an upcoming star tennis athlete  was able to obtain three sets of the 6th seeded player but lost 6-0, 6-3.  This was a good showing by Joshua who continues to gain exposure on the Pro Circuit Tour.

Matchplay for Philip  starts tomorrow at 10:00am in Antalya Turkey.
