The Baptist Sports Council will hold a joint meeting on Saturday at 10 am at the Jordan Prince Williams Baptist College for all Churches interested in participating in the 2014 Track and Field and Softball Classic. All interested Churches are requested to have two members represent.

The track and field classic, sponsored by Rubis Bahamas Limited and Buttons Formal Wear, is set for Saturday, November 1 at the Thomas A. Robinson Track and Field Stadium. It will feature competition in the men and women 5-and-under, 10-and-under, 15-and-under, 20-and-under, open and masters divisions.

Additionally, the Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations has agreed to combine with the BSC as they stage a few events for those athletes wishing to make a last minute pitch to qualify for the team that will represent the Bahamas at the Central American and Caribbean Games that will be held in Veracurz, Mexico from November 14-30.

The softball classic, sponsored by the Caribbean Bottling Company Limited and Coca-Cola, is set to start on Saturday, October 25 at the Charles W. Saunders High School. The games will then move to the Banker's Field at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex once the Banker's League and the Bahamas Softball Federation has completed its games.

The New Providence Softball Association is expected to work closely with the BSC with their games once the action picks up at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex.
