DOHA, Qatar (Associated Press) — The IAAF has announced that London, Beijing and the Polish city of Chorzow are in the running to host the 2015 world championships.

IAAF spokesman Nick Davies says a decision on which will host the outdoor track and field event will be made in November at its ruling council meeting in Monaco.

Davies says the IAAF has received bids to host the 2013 world youth championships from Greenville, South Carolina; Nassau, Bahamas and a Slovenia, which is yet to nominate a city.

The international athletics governing body also received a bid from Bahrain to host the 2013 world cross country championships.

A decision on those two events will also be made in November.
