The Bahamas Olympic Committee (BOC) plans to implement stronger marketing strategies now that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has better equipped it to recruit and deliver maximum value to corporate partners.

Clarence Rolle, a vice president of the BOC, attended the Olympic Marketing Seminar in Samorin, Slovakia that was presented by the IOC’s Television & Marketing Services unit in late June. The seminar brought together representatives from dozens of national Olympic committees to be updated on tools for helping the corporate world better understand the Olympic movement and cooperate in the development of athletes.

“The course was invaluable in explaining how we can work with businesses within our borders for the good of our athletes and the public,” Rolle said. “We depend on partners to help get our athletes to multi-sport games, and the tools we received in Slovakia will ensure that those partners get the best possible benefit from working with us.”

Rolle is pictured receiving the course certificate from Natascha Trittis, Marketing Training Manager of the IOC’s Television & Marketing Services unit.
