Eleuthera Junior Baseball League Championship Series Results

Eleuthera, Bahamas - The Eleuthera Junior Baseball League of Rock Sound continued with game three of its 2013 Championship Series in all three divisions on Saturday past in Spanish Wells with the Spanish Wells teams sweeping two of the three divisions over Rock Sound.  

COACH PITCH DIVISION – The Spanish Wells Hook n’ Jook defeated the Rock Sound Coco Plums by a score of 11 to 6 to make it a clean sweep in the best three out of five games to win the championship. The Hook n’ Jook  MVP slugger “DRE” lead the attack with 2 big home runs.

MINOR DIVISION – The Spanish Wells Sluggers blanked the Rock Sound Sports Center Marlins by a score of 9 to 0 to make it a clean sweep in the best three out of five games to win the championship. The Sluggers put 7 runs on the board in the top of the first inning and never looked back. The Sluggers pitcher “Dominic Pinder”  gave up 2 hits and struck out 10 Marlins for the win. The Spanish Wells Sluggers will be attending the BBF Nationals in Freeport this year.
                    

JUNIOR DIVISION – Spanish Wells Harbourside Contenders bounced back from the game two loss, and defeated the Rock Sound NuView Stingrays by a score of 12 to 2. The win by The Harbourside Contenders gives them a 2 to 1 game lead. Play continues this weekend in Rock Sound at 11:30 am between these two team. Both the Spanish Wells Harbourside Contenders and the Rock Sound Sports Center Marlins will be attending the BBF Nationals in Freeport this year.
