Ride for Justin Minnis Held in New Providence

Nassau, Bahamas - As a show of support for injured Olympian cyclist, Justin Minnis a group of cyclists in New Providence from the Bahamas Amateur Cycling Federation participated  in a special ride over the weekend.

Minnis was training on his bicycle on Tonique Williams Darling Highway on May 7th, and shortly after 6.00 a.m. in the vicinity west of the roundabout leading to the Queen Elizabeth Sports Centre he was the victim of a ‘hit and run’ accident. He remains unconscious in critical condition at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

Roy Colebrook, Vice President of the Olympic Committee and President of the Cycling Federation said that the thoughts and prayers of the entire sporting community are with young Mr. Minnis and his family and asked anyone with information about the accident to contact the relevant authorities.
