Nassau, Bahamas – As we near the end of the Sands Beer Cup Championship series, Bahamian Brewery and Beverage Company recently presented the Bahamas Golf Federation with the new Sterling Silver trophies which have been specially designed for the event.

The winner will receive a replica of the Floating Trophy and trophies will also be presented to the 2nd and 3rd place finishers along with other prizes including a 2-night stay at the Hope Town Harbour Lodge and 2 round trip tickets on Sky Bahamas. Additionally, winners and runner ups in each division will also receive trophies.

The next event on the Calendar is the Paradise Island Open September 30th and October 1st. The Sands Beer Cup will conclude with the Albany Championship on October 13th.

Richard Gibson Jr still leads the race for the Sands Beer Cup with 147 Stapleford Points, followed by Marvin Bethell, Ural Pratt and Victor Skinner tied for second with 140 points. George Swann is 5th with 139, Ted Adderley and Jeff Morasco share 6th with 135; 8th is Ian Howard with 134 followed by Oswald Moore in 9th with 133. The 10th place on the Leaderboard is shared by Allan Gardener, Nolan Johnson, Vincent DeGregory and Ambrose Gouthro all tied at 132.
