Nassau, Bahamas - The Bahamas Weekly News Team recently visited with Bahamian bodybuilder Joel Stubbs who is noted to have the 'Best Back in the World" .
Joel was off to assist with the Arnold Classic (as in 'Swarchenegger') in California last weekend. Joel is a Bahamas Air pilot who has been bodybuilding for 14 years, and last year competed in the Mr. Olympia competition, a first for The Bahamas!
Joel can bench press 550 pounds when he is in his prime condition. He is presently rebuilding after a knee injury and is on the comeback trail to compete again soon. He looks fine to us however (!), and in our upcoming video he will be sharing his passion for his sport, one that requires much discipline, along with giving highlights of his career and tips on doing your best in bodybuilding.
We followed Joel in his workout at BodyZone Fitness Center in Seagrape New Providence, where he works out with his training partner Delroy Dennis, who himself is an up and coming national contender in the sport.
Joel Stubbs has been on the cover of Muscle Magazine more than once, and has his own column in the magazine.
Joel is truly an inspiring Bahamian athlete!
