NASSAU, The Bahamas -- “We are making a bid for The Bahamas to become a permanent location for the International Association of Athletic Federations (IAAF) World Relays,” said the Hon. Daniel Johnson, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture during a press conference held by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the IAAF BTC/Bahamas 2015 World Relays at the National Stadium on Wednesday, April 22.

Minister Johnson said every Bahamian must be on board because we are “All out and All in.” Every taxi driver, waitress, doorman, police officer, everybody must display their best because we all make up Team Bahamas.

Last year we had the fastest track, which produced some of the fastest times, and this year we will have the fastest man he said.

LOC CEO and Vice-Chairman Mike Sands introduced ‘Bingo the Potcake’ as the Relays mascot.
