The New Providence Cycling Association - Weekend Results

The New Providence Cycling Association, under the leadership of president Barron Musgrove, trains every Wednesday afternoon at the NP Cycling Track, Q.E.S.C. (6pm) and also Sunday afternoons. We have a great group of junior cyclist who work really hard and are excellent cyclists, some keeping up with seniors. The juniors ride under Team Warriors.

May 17/18 RESULTS: Tracy Sweeting reclaims the title of 1st place winner in the Jaws Beach Road Classic, held Saturday May 17th 2008. Under the blazing sun, Tracy crossed the finish line with just under a 11/2 minute lead. Left to battle it out for positions were elite,master, under 23 and junior cyclist.

OVERALL RESULTS: 7 laps (42 miles)
1st Tracy Sweeting  1:58:08.97 - 2nd Laurence Jupp Jr 1:59:33.97 - 3rd Barron Musgrove 1:59:46.53
4th Robert Bethel 1:59.54.97 - 5th Anthony Colebrook 2:200:12.32 - 6th Cameron Mitchell 2:28:15.97
 
DIVISION RESULTS: Master I - 1st Tracy Sweeting - 2nd Barron Musgrove.

JUNIOR RESULTS: 4 laps (24 miles)
1st Raheem Colebrook 1:13:55.19  2nd Antinece Simmons 1:13:55:88 - these two kept pace with the first group for 3 laps. 3rd Justin Minnis 1:29:03.69. 
 
OPEN WOMEN: Amanda Graham completed 2 laps in 51:53.47.
 
Carlano, Henry, Larry and Wayne, for various reasons DNF  -   GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!!!!

Saturday May 24th - Road Race Freeport Grand Bahama - this date has been confirmed. I will be making arrangements by early next week. A number of you indicated you wanted to go this trip, please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions.

Saturday May 31st - Duathlon 3rd in the series. Mt. Pleasant Village start/finish. More details will be sent later.

Each Wednesday afternoon at the track starting May 14th - 6pm there will be events held.

May 14th TT series, 2 1/2 lap around the track. This is open at all, road bike or track bike senior or junior cyclist. With a special 'POPPING' contest.

May 21st 4,000 meters pursuit (10 laps)

May28th two men TT 4,000 meters.

Prizes will be given out the same day to the persons with the highest points total.
