Usain Bolt in The Bahamas for IAAF World Relays

New Providence, Bahamas -- Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt is in The Bahamas for the IAAF World Relays which start on May 2nd. 

When asked by a reporter at a press conference if he felt welcomed by Bahamians in a press conference today held in Nassau he said, "You guys keep reminding me, that you were the ones that named me. It's always great to compete in front of a Caribbean crowd. Every time I come to the Caribbean it's like being at home because I get so much love."

It's going to be wonderful competing here. I know the crowds will be crazy. I am definitely looking forward to it."

Over 800 athletes from over 40 countries will compete in ten (10) relay events. The event will have extensive TV coverage and will be seen by millions of viewers around the world. Over 100 journalists and up to 30,000 spectators are expected to attend the event.

The IAAF/BTC World Relays Bahamas 2015 will take place on May 2nd & May 3r at The Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium.
