Nassau, Bahamas - President of the Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations (BAAA) Mike Sands, announcing at a press conference earlier today that local trials for the 2013 CARIFTA GAMES will be held on March 15 & 16 at the old Thomas A. Robinson Track and Field Stadium.

With just 3 weeks left before the opening of the 2013 CARIFTA Games, organizing committee chairman Basil Christie also announced during the press conference that "everything is in order."

Over 540 athletes have registered, 23 Caribbean countries, and 150 officials.

The athletes villages will be split between the Paradise Island Harbour Resort and the Nassau Palm Hotel.

Tickets sales are underway.
