LEX FOUNTAIN
Visual Artist

At 12 years old, his work has already been highly acclaimed, as this young man is well on his way to becoming well established in the local art scene. A student a Mt. Carmel Preparatory School, since the age of seven, Lex has also studied at Sonia Isaacs School of Art.

"I mostly work with acrylic paint and enjoy sketching portraits on canvas and bringing them alive with different vibrant colors that my imagination will reveal"

Visiting Lex's fanpage, one would find out that he has had one art exhibition, which sold out during the first 20 minutes; and his pieces are priced under $150.

"I am aiming to be the best I can be with the talent I was given by God, and the guidance of my art teacher and parents to make my art available to everyone."

Lex is also studying the guitar, was awarded a spot at the Ivory Global Promotions/Washington Jazz Arts Institute Summer Music Camp last year, and in 2009 won the Kilarney Constituency "What Can I Do for My Country summer essay competition.

K&S Photography, Bahamas

This enterprise was founded in January 2010, by ambitious

young entrepreneurs

Ms. Kayetta Brown and Mr. Ryan Gibson

Ryan Gibson began in the practice of graphic design from a very young age and eventually, his talent reached new heights.  Kayetta Brown who is currently enrolled in the College of the Bahamas pursuing studies in the education sector, realized a greater passion within the field of photography. The two  decided to start their own venture, but were initially unsure of how their work would complete in the local marketplace, and decided to investigate the work of more established companies within the Bahamas.

The two observed that a vast majority of photographers prices were quite high, and since they started out with less experience, set out to offer their service at a more affordable rate to the Bahamian public. Photography has now become a passion for the young company who is interested and open-minded in learning new things. So far, K&S Photography has worked at a number of events, including everything from weddings, to your "everyday" photo-shoot.

K&S has collaborated with other companies and organizations including, Debonaire’ Boutique, Button’s Formal Wear and the Fashion for a Cause charity event.

The motto for K&S Photography is 'Capture the moment that speaks a thousand words.'  "

As every company would, we have had minor setbacks. However, at K&S Photography feel we have no limitations, because we know that with God at the forefront, and with hard work, we will continue to prosper and excel in this business."
