Craig Woods, Film Commissioner, Bahamas Film and Television Commission   

Craig A. Woods, was born in Nassau, Bahamas on December 31st, 1952 the third son of Sidney and Ursula Woods. He obtained his early childhood education at primary and Secondary schools, and the Prince William’s High School in Nassau. He later would attend Baruch College of The City University of New York, The Royal Institute of Public Administration at Regents College; London, England and The International Management Development Institute, at The University of Pittsburg. He began his tourism career in New York city as a sales representative moved –up through the ranks to management positions; promoting The Bahamas in North American, Canada, Latin American and Asia for over 16 years holding post in Dallas, Chicago and Miami along the way.

Mr. Woods has attended many conferences on regional tourism in North America and the Caribbean region. He holds the Certified Travel Consultant (CTC) and Certified Hospitality Marketing Executive, (CHME) designations.

Since his appointment as Commissioner for The Bahamas Film and Television Commission in April 2003, Mr. Woods has provide oversight for some twenty-four, (24) feature films shot at locations throughout the Bahamas. Most notable of these have been Walt Disney Pictures, “Pirates of The Caribbean II & III”, Sony Pictures, “Casino Royale,” Warner Brothers Pictures, “Fool’s Gold” Universal Pictures, “Duplicity, and MGM Studios “Into The Blue.” In addition there have been a host of independent feature films, and international film shoots in the Bahamas from Germany, Italy, France and most recently; Bollywood, India.

Mr. Woods supervises a  staff of 7 persons located in Los Angeles, Miami, Grand Bahama Island and at the Film Commission office in Nassau. Mr. Woods is a member of  Association of Film Commissioners International, (AFCI), Film Florida and is a candidate for the Certified Film Commissioner program.

He is married to the former Yvonne Sweeting. They have two sons, Craig Jr. and Gianni.

Clarence Rolle is a writer, producer, actor and director.  For the past 20 years, he has involved himself in theatrical productions.

He has producing a number of independent films, mainly family, comedy and Christian genres. His latest production is a romantic comedy called Crazy Love, which premiered in Nassau, Bahamas in February.
