Chances are you can’t live without them. They are undoubtedly one of the most worn articles of clothing in your closet. Funny enough, they seem to get better the more you wear them, molding to your body, becoming softer and more comfortable. Ode to your favorite pair of denim jeans. This spring, it’s cool to wear denim from head to toe. Fall in love with a new style of jeans and start peppering some other fun denim pieces into your wardrobe.

The Return of the Wide Leg

Seventies inspired high-rise flared jeans are in for spring. Squeezing into my skinny jeans had become a bit of an ordeal, having popped more than one belt loop by using them as leverage to get those painted-on jeans on. Trouser style wider leg jeans are a more grown-up way to wear your trusted blue jeans, not to mention they’re much easier to wear. The tailored style makes them suitable for wear at the office during casual Friday, especially in darker washes.   Pair with an elongated top or a sleek tailored blouse tucked into your jeans and top it off with high heels to complete the look.

I swore off denim mini skirts somewhere around sophomore year in university - but long, denim maxi skirts is a trend I can get behind. Opt for a slimmer cut closer to your body such as an A-line silhouette.

Opposites attract when you pair a casual denim shirt with a dressy skirt for a nighttime look that’s comfortable and chic.
