Nassau, Bahamas  – On Sunday night, April 18, 2010, in the country’s most distinguished concert venue, the Rainforest Theatre staged the opening of the Wyndham Gospel Concert Series complete with master sound, light, and design to all visitors and locals as a premiere showcase by lead recording Bahamian Gospel music artists.    A one-off to celebrate the National Children’s Choir’s (20) twenty years of service, this was a chance for more than 100 children between the ages of 5-15, under the direction of Mrs. Bazard, Alfred Dean, and Audrey Wright, along with parents and family to remind the nation why they won the Prague Bronze Award this past March 2010.

During the concert opening the National Children’s Choir and chief administrators were presented with a tribute from the Wyndham Nassau Resort management followed by a commanding performance of their winning theme song “When The Road Seems Rough” which earned them the acclaimed Prague award.

One ticket holder said “words can’t express such a heartfelt performance of rich Bahamian culture by our youth.”

Lauded for their universal performances …Shaback led the captive audience in brilliant new songs, drama, and praise.   Live on stage were 30 combined vocalists and musicians in a synchronized hand clapping and swing movement.    Crowds stood from the front of the house and in rows to “praise and worship” along with each heart pounding masterpiece as Shaback introduced a variety show filled with old and unheard Gospel songs to Broadway, Contemporary Medleys, Traditional Bahamian Folk, and the Classics.

“What suitable Seaside dining and sensational Gospel style at the Rainforest Theatre for Bahamians,” said Minister Dwight Armbrister, and Master of Ceremony for the inaugural 2010 Wyndham Gospel Concert Series.

The 2010 Wyndham Gospel Concert Series is the start of Seaside dining and entertainment being offered once a month to establish a continuous atmosphere for good wholesome family gatherings for all to enjoy, and which is also backed by a membership customer loyalty program with value and savings.    The Wyndham Nassau Resort is delight to announce a matinee Mother’s Day Gospel Concert on Sunday, May 9 starting at 5:30 pm.
