Nassau, Bahamas - Supermodel Bobby Roache of LA Models will be in Nassau on April 24th and 25th as a co-host of the Supermodel of the Bahamas competition on Sunday.  This will be Bobby's second trip to The Bahamas, as he attended the Islands of the World Fashion Week last year as a guest judge.
Bobby has been featured in many well-known ad campaigns (Mexx, Sean John, Coors Light, South Pole, Camel Actives, Bronx) and appeared in Beyonce's music video Irreplaceable.

"I am very excited to be coming back to The Bahamas. There is so much beauty in the land and the people.  When I first started in modeling everyone told me there was no hope due to where i was from.  I know that token talent doesn't always present itself at first, so sometimes you have to go beyond. In seeing the quality of the models on my first time to The Bahamas I hope to assist in helping get Bahamian models in agencies in America.  It is very special to me because models outside of the US have to go above and beyond to get recognized. This event shall provide models opportunities they may otherwise not have, and  I am excited to be apart of another forthcoming of strong talent that can ultimately become notable and successful. I can't wait!" said Bobby Roache about his upcoming trip.

Bobby will be signing autographs at The Juke Box at Mall at Marathon on Saturday, April 24th from 12noon to 3pm, along with Bahamian recording artists Julien and Brettina. All three will be on the stage on Sunday, April 25th for the finals of Supermodel of the Bahamas at 8pm in the Governor's Ballroom at the British Colonial Hilton.

Journalist Alexandra Patino writes this about Bobby Roache:

[Back in 2005 Bobby Roache threw himself into the ring, holding his own against some of the industry’s biggest Black male models. Breaking out of the greater Washington, D.C. area to find his calling in New York City, Roache has come a long way. From working the runways of London to gracing the cover of Men’s Health magazine to working alongside Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington in Ridley Scott’s “American Gangster” to being the envy of all men in one fell swoop: by being cast as Beyoncé’s no-good boyfriend in the video for her hit single “Irreplaceable,” it’s clear that Roache set out to conquer and destroy the competition.

Certainly being one of the most sought after African-American male models in the world doesn’t hurt. The royal treatment can certainly be sweet, but for Roache the enduring testament to his artistic endeavors boils down to the support from his legions of fans. His perfectly chiseled physique has become emblematic, not just for inevitable female lust but for his male fans — an ultimate goal, something to achieve, a precipice that has to be reached. Roache lets us in on what it was like to work with Beyoncé, what he has to say to other men who look up to him, and how giving back to the community will one day become a part of his legacy. ]
