TheBahamasWeekly.com is pleased to announced that we are celebrating our 5th Anniversary!
It's been 5 years of promoting The Bahamas and we wish to take this opportunity to THANK YOU in helping us with our high ratings on Google! Thank you to our viewers via Facebook and Twitter!
Let TheBahamasWeekly.com bring you to
the WORLD! Most of our viewers are from the United States of America with The Bahamas placing second, obviously this has to do with population, and then Canada is our third highest readership. Next we have Great Britain, Switzerland, France and so on down the line.*
We want to take this time to also thank our clients, our sponsors and strategic partners, as well our valued columnists!
TheBahamasWeekly.com is here to serve the community of The Bahamas. It is our aim to provide positive content whenever possible. We intend to depict the better-side of life in The Bahamas, and share how Bahamians are indeed people helping people. We provide a venue for Bahamians to feel connected to one another no matter what island of this archipelago they live on, or even if they now live abroad.
TheBahamasWeekly.com
started in 2006 and was co-founded by David Mackey and Robbin Whachell
as an expansion of Mackey's Grand Bahama based website and the weekly
newsletter started by Whachell in 2003. The Bahamas Weekly strives to
provide the latest in news, sports, entertainment, arts & culture,
community, celebrity sightings, and specializes in video events
coverage.
The Bahamas Weekly has over twenty columnists writing on an
array of interesting topics like fashion, religion, politics, and health.
Updated
24/7 and throughout the night and day, the website offers 'weekly' news
updates emailed directly to our over 25,000 subscribers each Friday
featuring our top 70 articles of the week. The Bahamas Weekly aims to
promote the country and its people, no matter which island of the
archipelago they live on, or even if they now live abroad.
The Bahamas
Weekly is a proud sponsor of such prestigious events as the Bahamas
International Film Festival (BIFF), Islands of the World Fashion Week
(IWFW), the Red Rose Ball, Supermodel of the Bahamas, the Heart
Foundation Ball, Theodore Elyett's Miss Teen Bahamas Pageant, Miss Grand
Bahama Pageant, and others. Placing a priority on helping charity
groups, we support all Rotary groups, the YMCA, the Salvation Army,
BASRA, etc.
The Bahamas Weekly team were able to provide content for and
operated GBI Tourism TV for Grand Bahama's Ministry of Tourism, which
ran for two years on its own designated TV channel.
Bahamas E Marketing,
a sister service of TheBahamasWeekly.com was established to fulfill the
needs of consumers to find the best shopping values for their dollar
and is utilized by CostRight and Solomon's. Bahamas E Marketing is not a
bulk or junk mail disseminator, but was designed to benefit consumers
during these tough economic times. The Bahamas Weekly is a leading
information site and has over 5 million hits per month and presently
features over 17,500 articles. Gold member advertisers benefit by
banner-ad placement on every single page of the site, a feature unique
to The Bahamas Weekly.
Our content is well saturated in all the search engines like Google so our content is easily found and lives on and on. Our subscribers are Bahamians living in The Bahamas or abroad, as well as anyone with an interest or affiliation to The Bahamas. Subscribe today!
Our content does not go away, but remains on our site, always retrievable through our Search field found on each and every page. Each of our articles is printer-friendly and any article can be individually emailed. The backbone of our site is our up-to-date and extensive Event Calendars for Grand Bahama Island, New Providence, and the Family Islands. Find out what is going on!
Advertise with The Bahamas Weekly and be seen! The Bahamas Weekly is fast becoming the leading daily viewed website in the country, and an amazing portal for advertising. Do you have your products or services listed with us? What are you waiting for? We offer cost affective full colour ads, printable coupons, attachments, your own category, links to your own website or information, animated moving ads, and we can even create radio or TV commercials to be streamed on our website. Online advertising IS the future! Be seen on each and every of our pages with our banner-ads - that's over 17,500 pages!
Bahamas E Marketing - In response to numerous requests from our advertisers and subscribers, The Bahamas Weekly in May 2007, launched this
DIRECT MARKETING E-service. Bahamas E Marketing is a new method of direct marketing through the Internet that provides advertisers a direct means of reaching a vast audience. The recipients of this content will benefit by being the first ones “in the know” about special events, store savings, coupons and more within The Bahamas, that are only available through Bahamas E Marketing. Our subscribers want solicitations as long as there is some perk for them. Some businesses taking advantage of BahamasEmarketing on a weekly basis are CostRight and Solomons.
Here's how you can take advantage of our services.
Our
Gold Marketing
Members, those you see on our left column have the luxury of being seen
on each and
EVERY single page of our website, and currently that is over 17,500
pages! We don't just put an ad up for you on one obscure page that you
have to be "lucky" to find - we expose you on every page!
With your Gold
status on The Bahamas Weekly it's like being seen on EACH and EVERY page
of a traditional newspaper! BUT a newspaper with over 17,500 pages!
Not only do our Gold Members have maximum exposure, but they have the
ability to post one article/ad per week on our website! And these
articles go into a custom area on The Bahamas Weekly whereupon anyone
can find out about your business either by linking directly to your
website, or by clicking from one article to another about your business,
sales or services. Here is an example for Pelican Bay Hotel.
What about Direct Marketing services or "E-Blasts"?
The big hype these days is direct e-mail services - one email with only
your info. Email blasts on their own are effective only to a point
because E-blasts are
fractional marketing in that non-subscribers never get to see your promotions. TheBahamasWeekly.com in tandem with Bahamas E Marketing Service utilizes a
holistic approach that makes your promotions accessible to anyone with an Internet connection.
Further, because TheBahamasWeekly.com is an information driven medium,
persons in search of our news content through Google, Yahoo, Bing and
other search engines will see your promotions without specifically
requesting or looking for it! This is because your banner advert would
appear on each of our over 17,500 pages (and counting) on the web.
Email blasts do have a purpose and are effective, but we encourage you to DO BOTH, and take an ad or
Gold Membership on our website for maximum exposure, AND if your budget allows, do an e-blast through Bahamas E-Marketing as well
. If you would like regular E-Blasts as part of your promotions, ask us about our
Gold PLUS package!
Here are a few of added perks to our Gold Memberships:
• Allows you to post 1 article per week that appears in our center column
• Article posted each week appears in our Friday Weekly E-Mailer to subscribers
• Each of your articles are also featured on our Facebook page
• Each of your articles are also featured on our Twitter page
• If you have a radio or TV advert, we could stream it online
Our rates are great! And we're fast - we can have your business logo/ad up usually within a day.
• Contact us to find out information on our Gold Plus and Platinum membership packages.
• Note, Custom Membership packages can be created to meet special requirements.
