This is your New Providence Events Calendar

 

Older Persons Month will be celebrated in October.

The Month will kick-off with a Church Service at Christ Community Church, Bellot Road at 11am Wednesday, October 1. The Church Service will be followed by a Summit on Dementia jointly hosted by officials of the Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre and the Department of Social Services (Thursday, October 2); a Workshop on Mental Health and Aging which will be held at St. Gregory’s Anglican Church (Wednesday, October 8) before culminating with the Nation Builder Awards Ceremony at which time 20 persons who are 80 years of age or older, will be honored for their contributions to nation-building.

Nassau Features Four Main Events of Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival 2015:

May 7: JunkaMania, a grand explosion of Junkanoo Orchestras, 8pm-12am.

May 8: The Music Masters Concert, 8pm-12am. Mega concert to showcase the 10 song competition finalists who will share the stage with a Grammy award winning artist.

May 9: Midnight Rush, 12am-6am, a Junkanoo rush out will be held at the carnival village following the mega concert.

May 9: Road Fever is the main masquerade that will evoke you to let loose in the streets of Nassau from 11am-8pm!
