Freeport, Bahamas - The Grand Bahama Youth Choir presents their
1st Anniversary Concert "One God, One People, One Bahamas" on Saturday, February 27th at 7pm at the Foster B Pestaina Auditorium, Christ the King Anglican Church.

Marathon, Florida Keys - Authentic soul food, Junkanoo bands and historical re-enactors are to star at Crane Point Hammock and Museum’s fourth annual Bahamian Heritage Festival Friday through Sunday, Jan. 30 through Feb. 1, at mile marker 50 bayside in Marathon.
The opening night fish-fry dinner is set to begin Friday at 5:30 p.m., with a yet-to-be-announced keynote speaker. Seating is limited to 50 and reservations are required.
Saturday is family day, with two parades featuring the Caribbean Queen Junkanoos. Spectator participation is typical in the Bahamas and, while it’s not required at the festival, it may be hard to resist...

Nassau, The Bahamas - The Sir Victor Sassoon (Bahamas) Heart Foundation was established in 1961, to assist the children of The Bahamas, who are medically challenged, specifically those who are born with heart defects.
Each year, The Heart Ball Committee hosts two fundraising events: The Heart Ball and The Annual Tea Party / Fashion Show, both on Sunday, December 7th at Montagu Gardens. These events generate funds that aid in the repair of hearts of children. This year's theme, "Taking Care of Our Future, Fixing Little Hearts".
Being a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on the generosity of others to meet our goals.

DALLAS, TX – Susan G. Komen for the Cure®’s Circle of Promise has partnered with civil rights icon, television pioneer and national ambassador of Circle of Promise, Ms. Xernona Clayton and the Bahamas Breast Cancer Initiative to engage, educate and empower women in The Bahamas to end breast cancer.
The weekend, focused on breast cancer awareness, begins on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 6:00 p.m. in Grand Ballroom D of the Atlantis Hotel with An Evening with Xernona, a one-woman show featuring Ms. Xernona Clayton.
On Saturday, Nov. 8, the Cancer Society of the Bahamas and Susan G. Komen for the Cure present “Stride for Life Walk” beginning at 6:00 a.m.

Grand Lucaya Westin Hotel on Grand Bahama Island as part of the kickoff in the Bahamas, which will become the first international market to host a Real Men Cook celebration.

Carnival's MS Imagination will be docking at The Lucayan Harbour October 7th, 2008. Aboard the vessel Praisefest Ministries 3rd annual 'Cruise with a Cause' will be taking place.
A concert FREE is set for New Providence for 5pm on October 8th at Cliford Park.
Notable religious musicians are: Paula White, Larnelle Harris, Andrae Crouch, and Mary Mary.

Day two of the Island Hop did have the attendees hopping! A busy schedule with a super lunch at the Ferry House. Along route to the restaurant by boat, Veronica from UNEXSO stopped by on her Dolphin walk to show off local dolphins to the visitors. The 3rd Annual Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) took place from December 3 - 7th, 2006 in New Providence. The owners of Chopard and Versace boutiques in The Bahamas, Wayne Chee-a-tow and his wife Sylvia were hosts for the grand opening gala, with their son Rodney organizing the affair with plenty of glitz and glamour, fine food and drink! Gorgeous models, fireworks, movie stars, film folk, all made up for a first class event held at The Cloisters on Paradise Island.
