Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in solving two separate shooting incidents that has left two men dead.

Grand Bahama Suspect Arraigned on Robbery with Violence Charge

Freeport, Bahamas - Jeffrey
Baldwin Francis age 34 years of Porgy Bay, Bimini, was arraigned before
Deputy Chief Magistrate Helen Jones in Magistrate Court #3 on Robbery
with Violence charge. He was not required to enter a plea, a preliminary
enquiry will commence on the 27th January 2015 in Magistrate Court #9,
New Providence. He was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
This is in connection to an incident that occurred in Bimini on October 13th 2014.

investigating the alleged drowning of a 52 – year old man from Europe
that occurred on Sunday 19th October 2014.
According to reports,
around 12:00noon, the victim was on a snorkeling trip with several other
visitors in waters off Rose Island, when he became unresponsive.
Efforts by other visitors to revive the victim proved to be
unsuccessful. The victim was taken to shore where he was pronounced

seizure of a large quantity of dangerous drugs and the arrest of two men
ages 36 and 31 from Acklins Island during day five of “Operation
Showtime II ”, held in New Providence late Sunday 18th October 2014
through the early morning of Monday 20th October 2014.
to reports, shortly after 1:00am this morning, a team of officers
assigned to “Operation Showtime II ” along with officers from the Police
Marine Support Unit acting on intelligence went to an area at sea, one
mile south of New Providence, where they intercepted a 32 foot vessel
with the two suspects onboard. The officers conducted a search of the
vessel and uncovered just over 1,000 pounds of marijuana with an
estimated street value of one million dollars.

of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Friday 3rd October 2014 shortly after 2:00pm, police received
information that a male is being held by Defence Force Officers who was
found in possession of an unlicensed 12 gauge shot gun with (25) live
rounds of ammunition on board a vessel at the dock area in Marsh
Harbour, Abaco. The suspect and illegal firearm was handed over to
police who is investigating this matter.
