Here are some simple reminders for drivers:

• Take extra time to look for kids at intersections, on medians and on curbs.

Nassau police seek help with 2 overnight shootings - Aug 29, 2015 - 1:33:21 PM

Nassau, Bahamas - Police seek public’s help in solving two shooting incidents that has left a man dead and two men detain in hospital Saturday 29th August 2015.

In the first incident, shortly after 12:00am, a man was leaving a nightclub located on Faith Avenue South, when he was shot in the arm. The victim was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

In the second incident, shortly before 2:00am, police received a report of a shooting incident at Minnie Street. When police arrived on the scene they met the lifeless body of a man with multiple gunshot wounds and another man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds...

RBPF Nassau: Man arrested for stolen vehicle - 2 arrested for drug possession - Aug 29, 2015 - 9:35:36 AM

According to reports, around 7:00am on Friday 28th August 2015, officers from the Southwestern Division were on mobile patrol on Lilac Street, Pastel Gardens, when they observed a suspicious Honda vehicle parked in the area. The officers made a check of the vehicle and found a male inside. A search was conducted of the vehicle and three cell phones that were reported stolen were found. The officers also discovered that the Honda vehicle was reported stolen on 27th August, 2015. The officers then took the19 –year old male of Pinewood Gardens into custody for questioning reference to stolen vehicle.

According to reports, shortly after 10:00pm, police received information that a group of young men were armed with firearms in front of a home located at Providence Avenue near Infant View Road.

Police upon arrival at Providence Avenue met a group of males standing in front of a home. The men fled on seeing the police. Police gave chase and caught up with one of the males who pointed a handgun at them...

Freeport, Bahamas - Police in Grand Bahama are searching for person(s) responsible for a shooting incident that has left a man dead.

The incident reportedly occurred shortly after 10:00pm on Saturday 22 of August in the Sunken Treasure Drive area. Police received information of gunshots being heard and responded where they met the lifeless body of a male in the parking lot of an apartment complex with gunshot wounds to the body.

Abaco, Bahamas - Police in Abaco are investigating a stabbing incident that has left a 22 year old male of the Mudd, in hospital.

Reports are that on Sunday 23rd August 2015 shortly after 2:00am, while in the area of Don McKay Blvd, police received information that a male was reportedly attacked by a another male known to him, who stabbed him multiple times about the body. He was taken to the Marsh Harbour Clinic and seen by doctor who listed his injuries as serious. The victim will be flown into New Providence for further medical attention...
