Nassau police seek suspects in 2 drive-by shootings and 2 armed robberies - May 30, 2016 - 2:24:20 AM

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspects responsible for two separate shooting incidents that have left several persons detained in hospital.

In the first incident, shortly before 12:00midnight on Saturday 28th May 2016, three adult males were standing in front of a home located on Sutton Street off Kemp Road, when the occupants of a grey Honda Torino car pulled up and fired several shots at them before speeding off. The males were rushed to hospital where two of them remain in serious condition and the other in stable condition...

RBPF: Pistol and ammo seized - Man arrested for marijuana possession - May 30, 2016 - 12:27:39 AM


Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, officers of the Selective Enforcement Team took another illegal firearm out of the hands of a criminal on Saturday 28th May 2016.

Reports are that around 8:30pm, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team were on routine patrol on Lyon Road off Shirley Street, when they saw two suspicious males walking in the area. The officers conducted a search of the males and uncovered a pistol with 10 rounds of ammunition. The two males were subsequently arrested and taken into custody...

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left a 21 year old male of Freeport dead.

Reports are that on Saturday 28th May 2016 shortly after 10:00pm, a male while sitting in a vehicle on Frobisher Circle was shot multiple times about the body by unknown perpetrators.

The male victim was taken to hospital by EMS personnel where he later succumbed to his injuries...

Excellent work by officers of the Bimini District resulted in the capture of wanted suspect Colin Adderley of New Providence who is wanted for Murder.

Reports are that on Thursday 26th May 2016 shortly before 6:00pm, officers arrested the suspect in the Alice Town area without incident. A 20 year old male of South Bimini was also arrested for harbouring a criminal and taken into police custody...

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a traffic accident that has left a male and a female dead and two females detained in hospital on Thursday 26th May 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 7:00pm, a Nissan car occupied by four persons was traveling south on New Providence Highway, when the driver lost control and crashed into a utility pole. The male driver and a female passenger were ejected from the vehicle into the road and pronounced dead on the scene. Two female passengers were transported to hospital where they remain in stable condition...

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in solving the death of a man who was discovered dead on Thursday 26th May 2016.

Reports are that around 10:00am officers from the Southwestern Division were on mobile patrol in the Bonefish Pond area of western New Providence, when they observed an unoccupied silver Dodge Durango vehicle parked at the end of a road.

The officers made a check of the area and found the lifeless body of a male with gunshot wounds...

Bahamas police probe death of man and woman from Nassau Village - Shooting on Peter Street - May 20, 2016 - 12:08:24 PM

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an adult man and woman that occurred on Thursday 19th May 2016.

According to reports, shortly after 8:00am, police received a report of an adult male and female along with an infant child found in an unconscious state in a home at Butler Street, Nassau Village. When police arrived on the scene they met neighbours and relatives rescuing the three victims from the home and attempting to revive them. The three victims were rushed to hospital where the adult male and female later succumbed.The infant child remains in critical condition. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death...

Reports are, that shortly after 6:00pm, a traffic accident occurred on St. Vincent Road near Olive Road involving a 1998 Honda Integra car driven by an adult male and a motor scooter driven by another adult male.

RBPF: Police seize handgun - 29 arrests / 78 citations in 3 operations in Nassau and Harbour Island - May 15, 2016 - 11:00:58 AM


Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, police conducted two operations in New Providence and one in Harbour Island on Friday 13th May 2016, to send a clear message to those responsible for committing criminal acts on members of our communities, that the police will proactively identify them, thoroughly investigate the offences they commit, and ensure that they are prosecuted and brought to justice.

The operation conducted by officers in Harbour Island resulted in 15 persons being arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and stealing...
