Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2017, police took two Royal Bahamas Defence Officers along with two other males into custody following the seizure of a quantity of dangerous drugs in separate incidents over a 24 - hour period.

In the first incident, around 7:00pm on Thursday 15th June 2017, officers from the Tourism Policing Unit were on routine foot patrol on Marlborough Street, when they observed a vehicle driving in a reckless manner. According to reports shortly after 10:30am, police received a report of a body of a male submerged in the water at the eastern end of the Potters Cay Dock. American visitor drowns in Abaco - Jun 14, 2017 - 1:00:21 AM

Police in Abaco are investigating the death of a 54 year old American visitor on Tuesday 13th June 2017.

Reports are that shortly after 1:00am, the body of a male was discovered in water near a residence in Eastern Shores, Marsh Harbor, Abaco. Foul play is not suspected in this matter, however an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

A male jet-ski operator is in custody assisting police with their investigation into an alleged sexual assault of a Canadian woman that occurred on Monday June 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 1:30pm, the male jet-ski operator offered the Canadian woman a ride at Cabbage Beach and took her to Athol Island off Paradise Island, where he is alleged to have sexually assaulted her. The male jet-ski operator then returned the woman to Cabbage Beach and the matter was reported to the police.

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a traffic accident at has left a man dead and another detained in hospital on Sunday 11th June 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 8:00pm, a man was traveling on West Bay Street in a 2007 Hyundai vehicle accompanied by a male passenger, when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree. The two men were taken to hospital where the male passenger succumbed to his injuries. The driver condition is listed as stable. Investigations are ongoing...

Wanted murder suspect Ronald Nottage of Summer Street for the murder of Valdrice Bowleg that occurred on Peter Street on Wednesday 7th June 2017.

Among those arrested was wanted murder suspect 45 - year Ronald Nottage who is wanted in connection with the stabbing death of 55 – year old Valdrice Bowleg that occurred at Peter Street on Wednesday 7th June 2017.
