Freeport, Bahamas - Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left a male hospitalized.

Reports are that on Thursday 23rd June 2016 shortly after 10:00pm, a male reported that while in the area of Murchinson Drive walking through a track road, he heard gunshots and discovered he was shot to the leg.He was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital in a private vehicle where his injuries are said to be none life threatening...

Eleuthera, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, officers from the Eleuthera Division arrested an adult male from Governor’s Harbour after they seized a quantity of dangerous drugs on Thursday 23rd June 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 11:00am, officers from the Eleuthera Division were on routine patrol in Governor’s Harbour, when they saw the suspect walking with a backpack acting suspiciously. Freeport, Bahamas - Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left a male of Pioneers Loop, Coco Plum Street dead.

Reports are that on Thursday 24th June 2016 shortly after 6:30pm, police were called to a residence in the Pioneers Loop area, where they discovered the lifeless body of a male with apparent gunshot wounds about the body. EMS personnel also responded to the scene and reported no signs of life.

According to reports, shortly after 10:00am, officers from the Tourism Policing Unit acting on intelligence went to a cruise ship moored at Prince George Wharf, where they found the suspects in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The female suspects were taken into custody and are expected to appear in court sometime today to be formally charged...

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Police Plan for 2016, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit took an adult Jamaican male into custody for possession of dangerous drugs on Tuesday 21st June 2016.

Reports are that around 6:00pm, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit were on routine patrol on Gilbert Street, Kennedy Subdivision when they observed a Jamaican male walking in the area acting suspiciously. The officers conducted a search of the male and found a quantity of marijuana in his possession.

Reports are that on Sunday 19th June 2016 shortly after 4:00pm, a purple and white twin engine aircraft registration # N63ZZ, reportedly took off from the Bimini Airport and shortly thereafter crashed landed claiming the lives of two passengers who were reportedly on board.

Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) seized a large quantity of dangerous drugs in New Providence on Monday 13th June 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 11:30pm, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit was on routine patrol in Southwestern, New Providence, when they uncovered several large bags containing 350 pounds of marijuana.
