Police in Grand Bahama are investigation three stabbing incidents:

The first incident occurred on Thursday 2nd July 2015 shortly before 1:00pm, a female of Russell Yard, Eight Mile Rock reported that while at her residence she was stabbed to the upper thigh and forearm by a male known to her.

The second incident occurred on Thursday 2nd July 2015 shortly before 6:00pm, a male reported that while on Bass Lane, he was stabbed to the chest with an unknown object by a male known to him...

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a stabbing incident that has left a 31 year old male of Williams Town dead.

Initial reports are that on Thursday 2nd July 2015, this matter was reported as a traffic fatality, further investigation into the matter and with the assistance of a pathologist, stab wounds to the upper chest of the decease were discovered.

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Traffic Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a traffic fatality that has left a 31 year old male of Williams Town, dead.

The incident was reported to police on Thursday 2nd July 2015, shortly before 7:00am and involved a black 2004 Ford Escape jeep that was found in bushes on Creswell Road and appeared to have crashed into a large pine tree. The deceases body was found lying outside the vehicle. EMS personnel were called to the scene...

Nassau police seek occupants of silver Nissan following shooting - Jun 26, 2015 - 11:18:13 AM


Nassau, Bahamas - Police are searching for the occupants of a Silver Nissan vehicle following a shooting incident that has left two men detained in hospital last night.

According to reports, shortly before 9:00pm last night, two men were standing in front of a home on Cambridge Street off Nassau Street, when the occupants of a silver Nissan vehicle pulled up and fired several shots at them before speeding off. The two men were rushed to hospital where they remain in stable condition. Investigations are ongoing.

Police in Grand Bahama have four males and a female in custody for Possession of Firearms and Ammunition on three separate incidents.

The first incident occurred on Saturday 20th June 2015 shortly before 1:00pm at the Grand Bahama International Airport, a 49 year old male of Rosedale, Louisiana, U.S.A., was arrested by police after a .9mm pistol with (8) live rounds of ammunition was discovered in a luggage he presented at security check point. He was arrested by police and taken into custody.

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Police are investigating a traffic accident that has left a 61 year old male of Hanna Hill, Eight Mile Rock dead.

The incident reportedly occurred shortly before 1:00pm on Saturday 23rd May 2015 and involved a 2004 Dodge Neon and a 2005 Chevy Malibu. Reports are that both vehicles were traveling on Warren Lavarity Highway when the accident occurred. The female passenger of the Chevy Malibu was extricated by the Jaws of Life and was listed in critical condition. All other passenger and driver of both vehicles were taken to the Rand

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in locating 32 – year old Dario Flesaino Smith of Joan’s Height and South Beach, who is wanted for Firearms Trafficking.

Nassau, Bahamas - At a press conference on Wednesday evening at Police Headquarters, Police Commissioner Ellison Greenslade announced that the arrest of two men after an attempted armed robbery has helped police solve a string of 13 armed robberies.

On Monday 15th June 2015, sometime after 9:00pm alert officers from the Mobile Division saturation patrol, arrested two men in the Kennedy Subdivision area and recovered a firearm following an armed robbery in Garden Hills.

Nassau, Bahamas - POLICE are searching for several suspects responsible for four separate armed robberies that occurred last night.

In the first incident, shortly after 10:00pm, a man was at Purpose Way, Ridgeland Park when a man armed with a handgun robbed him of two cell phones, a tablet and cash before fleeing on foot.

In the second incident, shortly after 11:00pm, a man was at Sisal Road, when the occupants of a Silver Mercedes Benz robbed him of his green 2002 Honda vehicle license number 225202 and sped off.

Nassau, Bahamas - An American man from Michigan is in custody for Failing to Declare on Saturday 13th June 2015.

According to reports, around 8:30am, the man was returning to the United States, when United States Customs and Border Patrol officials detained him at the United States Pre-Clearance Departure Lounge at LPIA for failing to declare, $27,696.00. The man was handed over to the police and is expected to appear in court early this week to be formally charged.

Nassau, Bahamas - POLICE are searching for the suspect/s responsible for a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Thursday 11th June 2015.

According to reports, shortly after 11:00pm, police received a report of a shooting incident in front of a nightclub located at the junction of St. Vincent and Baillou Hill Roads. When police arrived on the scene they met the lifeless body of a male with gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police in Grand Bahama and Abaco are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of two individuals on two separate cruise lines.

The first incident occurred on Sunday 31st May 2015 around 11:30am, police received information of a death on board a cruise line anchored off Castaway Cay. Reports are that a Caucasian male who was a crew member on board the cruise line was reported to have been found dead.

Freeport, Bahamas - Drexton Belony age 21 years of Frobisher Circle was arraigned on Monday 1st June 2015 before Magistrate Rengin Johnson in Magistrate Court #3 on a kidnapping charge. He was not allowed to enter a plea, a preliminary inquiry into this matter will be held on Tuesday 11th August 2015. He was remanded to The Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until trial.

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s assistance in solving a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Friday 29th May 2015.

According to reports, shortly after 9:00pm, a man was walking in the area of a park located off Graham Drive, Yellow Elder Gardens, when a man armed with a handgun approached him and shot him multiple times about the body before fleeing on foot. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.  Investigations are ongoing...
