Reports are that between Wednesday 21st March 2018 and Thursday 22nd March 2018, officers acting on information discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana in the areas of Midshipmen Road and the Grand Bahama Sporting Complex. Officers also while in the area of Frobisher Drive observed a group of men who on seeing the officers fled the area. Officers made check of the area and recovered a .357 revolver and (5) rounds of ammunition...

Reports are that on Monday 19th March 2018 shortly after 11:00am, officers acting on information went to the Northern Public Cemetery in Porgy Bay, North Bimini, where they discovered a bag that contained (2) .9mm pistols with (51) .9mm live rounds of ammunition and (4) magazines.

Police are investigating a shooting incident Friday, 16th March, 2018, which has claimed the life of one man and left two other men with serious injuries.

According to reports, shortly before 10:00pm, police received information of a shooting at Tufa Close off Cordeaux Avenue. On arrival, Officers met three men lying on the ground with apparent gunshot injuries to the body. Shortly after 6:00am, Thursday, 15th March, 2018, Drug Enforcement Unit officers, acting on information, went to a home on Venice Bay Drive off Bacardi Road, where they observed a male throwing a blue bag from the home, over a fence. Officers retrieved the bag, conducted a search of it and recovered 20 packages of marijuana. The male was taken into custody. Reports are that shortly after 4:00am on Sunday 11th March 2018, police received information from the Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association of a vessel in distress. The Royal Bahamas Police Force Marine Section, the Royal Bahamas Defense Force, along with Basra, conducted a search in the area of Great Stirrup Cay and located (4) males who were adrift, (3) Bahamians and (1) Honduran.
