According to reports, shortly after 8:00pm on Saturday 20th December 2014, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on intelligence went to Baldwin Avenue, Chippingham, where they uncovered a tec-9 handgun with ammunition..

8 arrested during 48hr. period:
Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the arrests of eight (8) persons...

Nassau, Bahamas - Police continue to put pressure on persons involved in criminal activity during a very intense island-wide anti-crime operation in New Providence last night.

During last night’s operation police made two significant arrests:

During the first arrest, police acting on intelligence arrested 10 adult males and an adult female whom they suspect to be a part of a major armed robbery ring. Police also recovered a number of cell phones from the men and woman suspected of being stolen during several armed robberies. Additionally, police will quizzed the men and woman regarding several recent murders...

Nassau, Bahamas - The Police Traffic Department is investigating a traffic accident that has left two men dead and another man detained in hospital.

According to reports, shortly before 12:00 midnight, three males were driving south on East Street in a 1997 gold Honda Accord vehicle, when they lost control of the vehicle and collided into a tree. Two of the males were pronounced dead at the scene and the other male was transported to hospital where he is detained in critical condition.
