The Abacos, Bahamas - Police in Abaco are investigating a stabbing incident that has left a 34 year old male of Moores Island with injuries.

Reports are that on Saturday 28th February 2015 shortly before 1:00am, Police received a report that a male while at a local liquor store in Moores Island was involved in an altercation with another male when he was stabbed about the body. His injuries are said to be listed as serious. Police have in their custody a 39 year old male of Moores Island who is assisting police with their investigation into this matter.

Freeport, The Bahamas - Police in Grand Bahama are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the Caravel Beach area.

Reports are that on Friday 27th February 2015 shortly after 8:00am, police received a complaint that two males, one reportedly armed with a handgun, held up and robbed a business establishment in the Caravel Beach area of cash and other personal items before fleeing. Both males were described as standing at 6’2” tall, slim built, dark complexion and spoke in a Bahamian accent...

Nassau man found dead in Culbert’s Hill area - Man shot in Providence Ave area - Feb 27, 2015 - 11:28:57 PM


( Nassau, Bahamas) Police are seeking the public’s assistance in solving a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Friday 27th February 2015. 

Reports are, that around 8:00pm police received a report of gunshots being heard in the Culbert’s Hill area off Prince Charles Drive. When police arrived in the area they discovered the lifeless body of a man laying outside a grey self drive vehicle with several gunshot wounds to the upper body. Police also found a handgun with several live rounds of ammunition in the deceased possession.

Police in Abaco are investigating an alleged drowning that occurred on CastawayCay in the Abaco’s on Thursday 26th February 2015.

Reports are that officers of the Sandy Point Police Station, Abaco, were notified about the incident shortly after 4:00pm. The decease is a 38 year old American male visitor who was a passenger on board a cruise ship was alleged to have drown while swimming in waters on Castaway Cay...

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident that has left a woman detained in hospital on Monday 23rd February 2015.

Preliminary reports indicate, that shortly before 10:00pm, an accident occurred on Carmichael Road involving a male in a wheel chair and a silver Nissan Sentra occupied by a male and female. The vehicle refused to stop at the scene and sped off. Police in the area gave chase and caught up with the vehicle in the area of High Tree Estates off Carmichael Road, where the driver attempted to knock down an officer who exited his vehicle...

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman who was found dead on Monday 23rd February 2015.

According to reports, shortly after 8:30am, police received a report of a house fire at Margaret Avenue, Millars Heights. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they met a house engulf in flames. Firefighters extinguished the fire and upon examining the interior of the home found the lifeless body of an adult woman with a cord around her neck and a cord hanging from a ceiling...

Grand Bahama shooting victim dies in Nassau - Feb 23, 2015 - 4:03:06 PM

Police in Grand Bahama are reporting that the 21 year old male of Holmes Rock, Grand Bahama, who was shot by a lone gunman on Thursday 19th February 2015 has died.

The victim was airlifted to New Providence to the Princess Margaret Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday 21st February 2015.

Police are appealing to the Grand Bahama community for anyone with information that can assist the police in their investigation...

RBPF Grand Bahama report stabbing and an armed robbery - Feb 20, 2015 - 4:42:16 PM

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a stabbing incident that has left three men with injuries.

Reports are that on Friday 20th February 2015, shortly after 2:00am, police received information that three males ages 31, 25 and 19 years old were at the Rand Memorial Hospital suffering from stab wounds about the body. Reports are that all victims were involved in an altercation with each other at a local night club in the Eight Mile Rock area. They were transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital via private vehicle and their injuries are said to be not life threatening.

Police are searching for a male who they want to question in connection with an armed robbery...

Freeport, The Bahamas - A Memorial Service will be held for Sir Jack A. Hayward, Kt., OBE on February 23, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at the Pro-Cathedral of Christ of the King, East Atlantic Drive, Freeport, Grand Bahama Island. The Service will be officiated by Archdeacon Harry Bain.

Sir Jack, as he was affectionately known, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the age of 91 years.

Sir Jack is survived by his wife Lady Hayward, and his partner of many years, Mrs. Patricia Bloom, who was at his side throughout his illness...

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a traffic fatality that has left a 64 year old male resident of Bootle Bay dead.

Reports are that on Thursday 19th February 2015, shortly after 5:00pm, police received information that a traffic accident had occurred on Queens Highway, West End involving a 2001 gold Buick Century that was driven by a lone male driver who reportedly lost control of his vehicle and crashed into nearby bushes. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital via EMS personnel. Sometime after 7:00pm on Thursday 19th February 2015, he later succumbed to his injuries...

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are asking for the public’s help, as they search for two suspects in connection with a shooting incident that has left two males dead and two other males in hospital late Monday 16th February 2015.


Preliminary reports indicate that shortly after 8:00pm, several males were standing in front of a store located on Plantol Street, when two men in a silver vehicle pulled up. One of the men got out of the vehicle and a fired several shots at the males. Two of the males succumbed from injuries received at the scene and two others were transported...

Major drug bust in Grand Bahama, 3 males in custody - Feb 16, 2015 - 10:44:14 PM

Freeport, Bahamas - Police on Grand Bahama make a sizable illegal drugs seizure and uncover an illegal handgun, along with ammunition in an anti-crime operation.

According to reports at approximately 1:14pm on Monday February 16, reports received from the Drug Enforcement Unit, Grand Bahama executed a search warrant at a house located in the Lucaya area, Freeport, Grand Bahama. Upon conducting the search the officers discovered about forty-eight (48) lbs of suspected cocaine hidden inside a bedroom and in the lining of several travel bags. Additionally, an illegal handgun along with thirty-three (33) bullets was uncovered in the house...

BAMSI arson suspect to appear in court Monday - Feb 15, 2015 - 9:07:15 PM

Nassau, Bahamas - Police have charged a 50 year old man of Fresh Creek Andros in connection with a fire that destroyed a dormitory at the Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI) in Andros on Thursday 15th January 2015.

The suspect is expected to appear in court on Monday 16th February 2015 to be formally charged.
