RBPF: Suspect arraigned on causing harm charge – Grand Bahama - Jul 22, 2014 - 3:30:40 PM

Onassis Justin Williams age 19 years of Hudson Avenue was arraigned before Magistrate Charlton Smith in Magistrate Court #2 on Causing Harm Charge. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was conditionally discharged, placed on probation for 1 year, to serve 200 hours of community service and to compensate the virtual complainant $500. He is to return to court on the 21st July 2015 to see if all requirements were being met. Failure to do so he will spend six months at Her Majesty’s Prison in New Providence. This is in connection to the incident at the Grand Bahama Post Office that was posted on social media..

Nassau police investigating 2 stabbings - Jul 21, 2014 - 10:03:00 AM

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating two separate stabbing incidents that have left two men detained in hospital. In the first incident, shortly after 2:00pm on Sunday 20th July 2014, a man was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend at his home located at Kennedy Subdivision that resulted in his girlfriend stabbing him in the neck with a knife. The victim was transported to hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

In the second incident, shortly after 2:00am on Monday 21st July 2014, a man was involved in an altercation with a man known to him at Montel Heights that resulted in him being stabbed to the abdomen.The victim was transported to hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.Investigations are ongoing in both incidents.

3 Abaco men wanted for armed robbery - Jul 21, 2014 - 10:00:02 AM

ABACO, Bahamas - Police in Abaco needs the public assistance in searching for three men who they want to question in connection with an armed robbery.

Reports are that on Monday 21st July 2014 shortly after 4:00am, police in Abaco received information that three men all wearing dark clothing with their faces covered and one armed with a handgun entered a business establishment in Treasure Cay and accosted a female employee of the company and demanded cash. They then proceeded to break and enter the company’s safe and robbed it off an undetermined amount of money and later made good their escaped in the company’s gray 2004 Nissan Van.

Abaco, Bahamas - Police in Abaco discovers suspected marijuana on a Haitian vessel.


Reports are that on Friday 18th July 2014 around 10:45am, Officers of the Marsh Harbour Division conducted a special operation at the Government Dock, Marsh Harbour, Abaco and searched a vessel named “Two Brothers” that traverse between Haiti and Abaco, where they discovered on board nine taped packages of suspected marijuana weighing at 35.2 pounds. Two Haitian nationals were arrested and taken into police custody. The suspected marijuana is estimated to value $35,200.00...

Bahamas DEU make large drug seizure, 2 Haitian Nationals in custody - Jul 8, 2014 - 9:40:05 AM

Nassau, Bahamas - A 60 year old Haitian man and a 53 year old Haitian woman are in custody following a large drug seizure that occurred on Monday 7th July 2014.

According to reports, shortly before 2:00pm, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU)acting on intelligence executed a search warrant at a home located at Balls Alley off Shirley Street, where they uncovered 37 1⁄2 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $37,000.00 and a half (1⁄2) pound of cocaine with an estimated street value of $5,000.00.

The two suspects were taken into custody and are expected to appear in court later this week to be formally charged.

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Police are searching for (2) two men who they want to question in connection with an armed robbery.

Reports are that on Friday 4th July 2014 shortly before 10:00pm, two men reportedly entered a business establishment in the Pinedale, Eight Mile Rock area, armed with a handgun and knife respectively and robbed it of an undetermined amount of money. The men were described as both wearing masked, the suspect brandishing the handgun was reportedly 5’9” in height average built, wearing a long sleeve white shirt, a long camouflage pants with a dark cloth covering his face. The other is described as brandishing a knife who stands at 5’7” in height, average built, clad in a dark long sleeve shirt and dark long cargo pants...
