Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a traffic accident that has left a 37 year old male of Pioneers Loop dead.

The incident reportedly occurred around 3:00pm on Saturday 23rd July 2016 and involved a 1999 white Lincoln Limousine and a green 2004 Toyota Corolla.

Reports are that both vehicles were travelling on Coral Road near the junction of Nansen Avenue when the accident occurred. The driver of the green Toyota Corolla received serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel...

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, Officers of Operation Turf Sweep discovers Firearms, Ammunition and Dangerous Drugs.

Reports are that on Friday 22nd July 2016 shortly after 8:00pm, Officers of Operation Turf Sweep while in the Kennedy Drive area, discovered in an abandoned structure (1) .40 caliber pistol loaded with (1) magazine containing (1) .40 round of ammunition and also (1) .38 revolver loaded with (2) .38 rounds of ammunition. No arrest was made in this matter...

Eleuthera police arrest 4 for drug possession in Harbour Island - Jul 20, 2016 - 8:51:05 PM

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, officers from the RBPF Eleuthera Division arrested three adult males and an adult female for drug possession in two separate incidents on Tuesday 19th July 2016.

In the first incident, shortly after 2:00pm, officers in Eleuthera executed a search warrant on a home located in Harbour Island, where they uncovered a quantity of marijuana and cash believe to be the proceeds of crime.

Nassau, Bahamas - In the first incident shortly after 2:30pm on Monday 18th July 2016, a woman was riding her bicycle on Hampshire Drive when the occupants in a silver Honda vehicle armed with a handgun approached and robbed her of her cell phone before speeding off. Police later stopped a vehicle on Carmichael Road fitting the description of the getaway vehicle. An adult male was arrested and taken into custody for questioning,

In the second incident later that evening around 11:00pm, a woman had just pulled up to her home located on Cox Way, when two men armed with a handgun approached and robbed her of her gray Nissan vehicle license number 291877 before speeding off.

Nassau, Bahamas  - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a traffic accident that has left a man dead on Thursday 7th July 2016.

According to reports, shortly after 7:00am, a traffic accident occurred on Tonique Williams-Darling Highway involving a white Honda Accord vehicle and a black Honda Accord Coupe vehicle. The adult male driver of the Black Honda Coupe succumbed to his injuries on the scene. However, his adult male passenger was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition. The adult male driver of the other vehicle was not injured...
