Police in Grand Bahama are investigating an alleged drowning
that has left a 20 year old male dead.

Reports are that on Monday 29th July 2019 shortly after 4:00pm, police were called to Lovers Beach in Hepburn Town, where it was reported that two males were riding a jet sky, when they lost control. One of the males swam to shore but the other never made it...

Reports are that on Wednesday 17th July 2019, shortly after 8:00am, police were called to a business establishment on East Beach Drive where the body of a female with stab wounds was discovered in the trunk of a vehicle. Emergency Medical Personnel were called to the scene and reported no signs of life.

Police are aggressively investigating this matter and are appealing to the general public for any information that can assist with this investigation, to contact them at telephone numbers 350-3107 thru12, 911/919 or call your nearest police station...

Reports are that shortly before 2:00am, police were called to a business establishment on the Mall Drive, where two armed males entered that establishment, held everyone at bay and robbed them of personnel items before making good their escape on foot.

Shortly thereafter, around 2:30am on the same date, police were called to the West Atlantic Drive area, where a male was found lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to the abdomen and back...

According to reports, on Sunday 7th July 2019, shortly before 4:00am, police were called to a business establishment on East Sunrise Highway where it is reported that a lone gunman opened fire hitting two males. One of the males sustained injuries to the upper body and the other to the lower body. They were both transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital via Emergency Medical Services. Both victims are listed in serious condition...

Reports are that on Thursday 4th July 2019, shortly after 2:00am, police were called to the East Sunrise Highway area, where it was reported that a male armed with a firearm shot two females. They both sustained injuries to the leg area and were transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital via private vehicle and ambulance. They are both reported to be in stable condition.

Reports are that on Sunday 30th June 2019, police were called to the East Sunrise Highway area, where a male was struck by a black Honda Civic vehicle travelling east on East Sunrise Highway and failed to stop. Police and EMS personnel were called to the scene. The pedestrian was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital where he was seen by doctor who listed his injuries as serious. Police later located the black Honda Civic vehicle and the 26 year old driver who is from Grand Bahama...

The vehicle refused to stop and officers observed a container being thrown out of the vehicle and retrieve the item, where it was discovered to contain suspected marijuana.
