Reports are that on Sunday 23rd April 2017, shortly before 11:00pm, police were called to an apartment complex on Amberjack Street where officers discovered the lifeless body of a male with multiple gunshot wounds....

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left a male hospitalized.

Reports are that on Saturday 22nd April 2017 shortly before 8:00pm, a male reported that while in the East Beach Drive area, he was approached by another male who produced a handgun and shot him several times to the body. He was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital via private vehicle where he is listed in serious condition...

Three American males are in police custody after they were found in possession of a quantity of Dangerous Drugs.

Reports are that on Thursday 20th April 2017 shortly after 9:00am, Police at the Freeport Lucayan Harbour were called to the Bahamas CustomsTerminal where they arrested three American males who were found in possession of (2) clear plastic bag containing a quantity of suspected marijuana, (1) clear plastic bag containing a grassy substance suspected of being Shrooms, (14) clear plastic bags containing a quantity of suspected edible infused marijuana candy, (2) clear packages of suspected cocaine and (1) container of suspected marijuana candy...

Freeport, Bahamas - Police in Grand Bahama uncovers large marijuana field in the Chesapeake area.

Reports are that on Monday 17th April 2017 shortly before 8:00pm, Officers of the Fire Department were in the Chesapeake area extinguishing a large bush fire, when they discovered in bushes over 100 suspected marijuana plants ranging between seedlings to four feet in height. No arrest were made and Officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit are investigating this matter...

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left a female dead.

Reports are that on Saturday 1st April 2017, shortly after 9:00pm, police were called to a business establishment on Oakes Street where reports of gunshots were heard. Officers on arrival at the scene met the lifeless body of a female lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the body.

Police are actively investigating this matter and are appealing to the general public for anyone with any information that can assist with this investigation to call them...

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday 28th March 2017.

Reports are that shortly before 12:00pm, a male armed with a handgun entered a business establishment in Russell Town, Eight Mile Rock and robbed the employee before making good his escape on foot.

A short time later police arrested a 22 year old male of Russell Town, Eight Mile Rock, who is assisting police with their investigation into this matter.

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating the death of an 80 year old American female on Thursday 23rd March 2017.

Reports are that shortly before 11:00am, a female visitor was in waters near Silver Point Drive where she was later found unconscious. Police and EMS personnel were called to the scene and transported the unconscious female to the Rand Memorial Hospital where she later succumbed...

Suspects Arraigned for rape, armed robbery, and shooting death in Bimini - Mar 18, 2017 - 9:19:01 PM

Two suspects were hauled before the Magistrate Court in Grand Bahama on Thursday 16th March 2017, one for the shooting death of a male in Bimini and the other for armed robbery and rape that occurred in 2015.

Greg Israel Pinder age 42 years of Easter Avenue was arraigned before Magistrate Charlton Smith in Magistrate Court #2 on Rape and Armed Robbery charges. He was not required to enter a plea and was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until trial (Preliminary Inquiry) on Tuesday 23rd May 2017...

18-yr-old Grand Bahama male seriously injured in traffic accident - Mar 13, 2017 - 1:53:31 PM

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a traffic accident that has left an 18 year old male hospitalized.

Reports are that on Saturday 11th March 2017 shortly before 4:00am, police were called to a traffic accident on Midshipman Road involving a 2002 Toyota Highlander, that was travelling west on Midshipman Road when the vehicle overturned and landed into nearby bushes. The lone passenger was ejected from the vehicle and the vehicle received extensive damages. The victim was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital and was seen by doctor where he is listed in serious condition...

Quick response by Grand Bahama police resultd in arrest of 2 armed robbery suspects - Feb 27, 2017 - 12:16:05 PM

Reports are that shortly before 4:00am on Sunday 26th February 2017, a business owner was held up and robbed at gun point at his business establishment on East Sunrise Highway of a large amount of cash by a male brandishing a handgun. The culprit along with two other male suspects fled on foot in nearby bushes.

Quick response by police officers resulted in the capture of two male suspects. Police are searching for two other male suspects in connection with this matter...

Consistent with the Commissioners Policing Plan for 2017, Officers of the Mobile Division took a male into custody for firearm possession on Sunday 26th February 2017.

Reports are that shortly before 11:00pm, Mobile Officers were on routine patrol on East Sunrise Highway, when they stopped a vehicle that aroused their suspicion, a male passenger was searched where a .40 pistol with six live rounds of ammunition was discovered in his waist. The male was subsequently arrested and taken into police custody...

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating the circumstance’s surrounding the death of a 49 year old female of Seagrape, Eight Mile Rock.

Reports are that on Tuesday 14th February 2017 shortly after 5:00pm, police were called to the Accident and Emergency Section of the Rand Memorial Hospital where a female patient who was brought in by EMS personnel with stab wounds to the body had succumbed to her injuries.

Police are actively investigating this matter.

Police appeal for information in Nassau shooting death at Yellow Elder Gardens - Feb 13, 2017 - 12:57:14 AM

The police are also appealing to the public for information to assist in their investigations into a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Sunday 12th February 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 8:00pm, a male was standing outside of his home located on Derby Road, Yellow Elder Gardens, when two males armed with handguns approached and shot him before fleeing on foot. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a young male on Thursday 9th February 2017 in the South Bahamia area.

Reports are that shortly after 8:00am, police were called to a home in the South Bahamia area where a male was discovered unresponsive in that residence. EMS personnel reported no signs of life. A pathologist report will be ascertain to determine the exact cause of death...

Police report aircraft incident at Grand Bahama Int'l Airport - Feb 7, 2017 - 11:59:27 PM

Police in Grand Bahama along with Civil Aviation Authority are investigating the circumstances that led to an aircraft incident at Grand Bahama International Airport.

Reports are that on Tuesday 7th February 2017 shortly after 5:00pm, officers were alerted that a Western Air twin engine aircraft with 33 passengers had attempted to land at the Grand Bahama International Airport when the aircraft skidded of the runway and landed some two hundred feet in bushes. EMS personnel were called to the scene and rendered assistance to several passengers who were taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and were discharged.

Second Grand Bahama suspect arraigned on drug possession with Intent to supply - Jan 8, 2017 - 10:08:15 AM

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Gerardo Davis age 34 years of McCleans Town was arraigned in Magistrate Court 8 in New Providence before Magistrate Forbes on Possession of Dangerous Drug with the intent to supply charge on Thursday 5th January 2017. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services in New Providence until trial on May 10th 2017.

This is in reference to the drug seizure in waters between Sweetings Cay and McCleans Town on November 30th 2016, where over four million dollars in Dangerous Drugs were recovered. Davis was arrested in McCleans Town on Tuesday 3rd January 2017...

Man shot on Grenfel Avenue in Freeport - Jan 7, 2017 - 8:00:39 AM

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left a male hospitalized on Friday 6th January 2017.

Reports are that shortly after 12:00pm, a male was in the Grenfel Avenue area when another male brandishing a firearm who was an occupants of a vehicle, opened fire and shot the victim multiple times about the body. He was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital via private vehicle and is listed in serious condition.
