Police are investigating a plane crash which occurred Tuesday, 1st October, 2019 at Pitts Town Airport, Crooked Island.

Reports are that shortly after 3:00pm, a PA32 Cherokee 6 aircraft, registration # N38677, left Deadman’s Cay, Long Island enroute to Pitts Town Airport, with four (4) passengers on board. As the aircraft began its final approach to the runway...

Reports are that shortly before 2:00pm, an American female, a home owner in Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, while swimming with her two grandsons in waters on Gilliam Bay Beach, Green Turtle Cay, was reportedly caught in a rip current. Persons nearby rescued the two boys and the victim who was brought to shore. CPR was administered to the female by local residents...

According to reports, shortly before 6:00pm, a group of young men were walking along the water’s edge in Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera, when they decided to jump into the water.  One of the men, when he surfaced, called out for help, but became submerged a second time...

Reports are that on Monday 10th June 2019, shortly after 2:00pm, officers in the Abaco District, acting on information, went to the Pigeon Pea Village area, just off Crockett Drive, where they searched an abandoned building and discovered an 18 inch barrel Remington .22 rifle.

Reports are that on Thursday 6th June 2019  shortly after 6:00am, police were called to Forrest Drive, Abaco, where a black Mazda vehicle and a red and black Honda motorcycle were involved in a head on collision. The driver of the motorcycle, a 35 year old male of Abaco died at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Mazda vehicle, both resident of Marsh Harbour, Abaco, were taken to the Marsh Harbour Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries...

Reports are that on Wednesday 5th June 2019 shortly after 10:00am, an armed culprit while in the Treasure Cay area, held up and robbed a female of her handbag that contain personal items before fleeing the area in a dark colored vehicle.

Officers of the Abaco District, acting on information proceeded to the Farm Road and Sand Bank area where they arrested two male suspects and recovered a dark colored vehicle and the victim’s handbag along with personal items...

RBPF: Three Mexican nationals arrested in Bimini - Jun 2, 2019 - 7:54:36 PM

Reports are that on Sunday 2nd June 2019 shortly before 3:00am, police were called to a resort on the island of Bimini where it was reported that a group of Mexican nationals all males, were involved in an altercation with a Dominican national (male). The Dominican national was reportedly beaten about the body. He was taken to the Bimini Clinic where he was seen by doctor and is listed in serious condition. He was later airlifted to New Providence for further medical attention...

Reports are that on Saturday 25th May 2019 shortly before 9:00pm, police on the island of Abaco were called to the Marsh Harbour Health Clinic, where a male presented himself with a gunshot wound to the face. He reported that while in Murphy Town sitting in his vehicle, he was approached by a male known to him, who pointed a firearm in his direction, opened fire, hitting him in the face and fled. He was rushed to the Marsh Harbour Health Clinic via private vehicle and was seen by doctor who listed his injuries as serious, but stable. He was later airlifted to New Providence to seek further medical attention...

Police are investigating a plane crash which occurred Monday, 20th May, 2019 at Staniel Cay, Exuma.

Reports are that shortly after 10:00am, Police on Staniel Cay, Exuma received a report that a plane had crashed at the airport. Upon arrival at that location, Officers discovered that a white 402 Cessna twin engine aircraft Registration CH6AAL had crashed into a chain link fence as it attempted to land. No one was injured....

RBPF Abaco: Shooting Incident has left a male with injuries - May 17, 2019 - 5:18:55 PM


Reports are that on Friday 17th May 2019 shortly  before 11:00am, an argument ensued between two males while in the Pigeon Peas community, when one of the males withdrew a handgun and shot the other male several times about the body before fleeing the scene. The male victim was taken by private vehicle to the Abaco Health Centre and is said to be listed in stable condition.

Police are actively investigating this matter...

RBPF: Police in Abaco arrest two males after they were found in possession of dangerous drugs - May 15, 2019 - 9:30:31 AM

Reports are that on Tuesday 14th May 2019 shortly after 10:00pm, police in Abaco, while armed with a search warrant, went to a residence in Government Subdivision, Marsh Harbour, Abaco, were they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. Two males occupants were arrested and taken into police custody.

The estimated weight of the suspected marijuana is 1.6lbs with a street value of $1,600.00...

RBPF: 3 males in custody following a large drug bust in waters off Andros Island - May 3, 2019 - 5:30:45 PM

According to reports, shortly after 6:00am Friday, 3rd May, 2019 Drug Enforcement Unit Officers, Marine Support Services Officers and U.S Law Enforcement Officers intercepted a 27ft white speed boat in waters twenty (20) miles southwest of South Andros. A search of the vessel uncovered forty-three (43) crocus sacks with suspected marijuana. Three adult Bahamian males who were on board, were taken into custody and are expected to be formally charged before the Magistrate Court next week...
