This week we head to the western end of New Providence Island in The
Bahamas to take in the sites and smells of the
Field to Fork Community
Farm. A farm that is starting an organic trend here in the country with
food that comes directly from our soil and onto your plate. Dre speaks
to Selima Hauber of
Field to Fork and takes you to their farmer's market
on Wednesdays and Saturday in May and June.
Dre
also speaks with
Brer Bookie Meat Co, which sells homemade, organic
sausages with chicken, pork, beef and lamb. It has zero nitrates and
zero hormones.
My Bahamas Sponge company is also featured.
In a live cooking demo, Chef Simeon Hall serves up a brunch dish with ingredients at the farm.
Rusty from Bristol Cellars suggests an organic wine,
Bonterra Chardonnay, perfect for pairing with farm fresh fruits and vegetables.
