Michael Major Jr. was a finalist at the UTR Baha Mar Cup held this weekend. Michael faced Bahamians Missick in the Round of 16 and Rees in the Quarterfinals. He won 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-1 respectively. He advanced to the semifinals to win over Saul 6-2, 6-1. In the finals he would face Blokhin from the United States losing 3-6, 2-6.

The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association congratulates Michael for a very good performance as he advanced to the finals of the tournament.

Sandisha Antoine is celebrating her 28th birthday in a very unfamiliar place. She is uncertain, perhaps a little bit scared, and indubitably very excited about what lays ahead for one of Saint Lucia's genuine champions.

She was just 15 years old when she set her first Saint Lucia national record. White Sands Bahamas NCAA Golf Invitational kicks off in Paradise - Nov 5, 2019 - 3:20:04 PM

The inaugural White Sands Bahamas NCAA Invitational, hosted by the University of Houston and featuring some of the top collegiate golf teams in the United States, took place over  a six day period at Atlantis’ seaside championship Ocean Club Golf  Course on Paradise Island. The first-of-its-kind tournament fielded a total of 28 teams: 14 women’s teams competing firs,t from Oct. 28-30, followed by 14 men’s teams playing Nov. 1-3.

As a kick off to the event on Saturday, Oct. 26, the women’s teams were hosted to a welcome dinner and a day of practice before the tournament proper.

Following the success of the Junior World Championships in October 2018, this past week Bahamian Judo President D'Arcy Rahming met with International Judo Federation Officials in Tokyo, Japan at the World Judo Congress. The purpose of the meeting was to finalize details of the Judo World Veterans Tournament  coming to the Bahamas.

The Veterans is the World's largest judo tournament with over 1000 athletes over the age of 35. It is a much sought after tournament as the Veterans tend to turn the tournament into a large family vacation bringing kids and grand kids of all ages for an extended stay...

The University of The Bahamas Mingoes women’s softball team allowed the Warriors to score 8 runs in the second inning as the defending NPSA champion Wildcats ended the game in 3 innings 15-0 Tuesday night at The Bankers Field at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex.

The Mingoes allowed three runs in the opening inning but the Warriors bats coupled with several defensive errors in the third put the game too far out of reach...
