the extension of the social distancing guidelines in the United States
through April 30, the WNBA will postpone the start of its training camps
and tip of the regular season originally scheduled for May 15. While

health and safety of players and employees – with our teams and at the
league level – is of the utmost importance. With regard to COVID-19, we
are in touch with the teams, consulting with infectious disease
specialists and monitoring guidance from the CDC and WHO. The WNBA is
currently not in season, but together with the WNBPA and teams, we have
been in close communication and will continue to connect with and offer
resources to players in the U.S. and those playing overseas...

Bahamas Defence Force’s 2nd Annual Commodore’s Bowl Flag Football
Tournament on Friday past at the T.A. Robinson Stadium.

The Grand Bahama Tennis Association(GBTA) Junior National Tournament was held this weekend in Freeport, Grand Bahama at the YMCA. The event sponsor was Bahamas Pure Water & Ice.
The event was sanctioned by The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association and is the first junior national calendar event held in Grand Bahama for 2020. Justin Roberts is making his presence felt on the ITF World Tennis Tour
Circuit. This week Justin teamed up with Antiguan Jody Magilney for
doubles at the M15 in Cancun Mexico. The dynamic duo has already had a
successful combination last year as doubles champions on the procircuit.
Yesterday, this Caribbean duo won over Americans George Goldhoff and
Alfredo Perez. In the first set the competition was stiff going to a

her team Indiana Tech. In this position she faces the #1 ranked girls on
the opposing teams On Saturday Feb 15th the Warriors took on the No.
23-ranked Cumberland University. Abigail lost in #1 singles 3-6,1-6
against Garrida. The second flight doubles of Abigail and partner

Salvador. The team consists of Peyton Anderson, Kinza Johnson and Kaylee
Kanuka. The Team is coached by Chelsi Russell.

Participating in the M15 at the Cancun Tennis Academy in Cancun, Mexico is Bahamian Justin Roberts.
In the R1(round of 1)Justin played Alexander Sarkissian winning in
straight sets 6-4, 6-2. Justin was able to close out quickly and will
face Juan Alejandro Serrano from Mexico in R2.

reporting a steady stream of young children between the ages of 4 and
16o n Saturdays at its free tennis clinics.
On this past Saturday
the rain did not deter the crowd of children and the fun activities

starting Sunday, February 9th 2020. Representing The Bahamas is a 3
member team of Peyton Anderson, Kinza Johnson and Kaylee Kanuka. The

as an ITF Level 2 Coach in Valencia, Spain.

Marathon Bahamas (Race Weekend) race on Sunday January 19th, 2020.
RBDF had a total of 2 relay teams and 3 individual half-marathon
runners in the competition. The RBDF Road Runners 1 Team consisting of
Able Seamen Gharvis Sturrup and Michael Gibson and Marine Seamen
Wellington Ramsey and Marvin Minns finished with an overall time of
