Indy Sportz Film Fest Experience (ISFFE), a non-profit event, launches
in April with sports celebrities, international films and community
outreach. The ISFFE takes place on

walkers and dogs will take to the roads in Grand Bahamas’ for the First Dog
Days Half Marathon Run, 5k and One Mile Fun Run/Walk. Participants of all ages and even four legged

First Five Companies Assist IAAF World Relays Bahamas 2015

NASSAU, The Bahamas -- The Local
Organizing Committee (LOC) for the International Association of Athletics
Federations (IAAF) World Relays Bahamas 2015 announced the first five companies
to assist with the second edition of the World Relays during a press conference
March 24 at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium.
With 39 days before the world relays to
May 2 & 3, Mike Sands, chief executive officer and vice-chairman of
the (LOC) named Caribbean Bottling Company (Coca-Cola) and Atlantic Medical as
returning national partners, and Commonwealth Brewery Limited and Bahamas Waste
as returning national suppliers with the National Sports Authority (NSA)
joining at the national supplier level.

with only 9 days before the team departs for El Salvador for the
CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship,
March 28 – April 4, 2015.
The Bahamas Football Association confirms the names of the players who
will represent the country. Under the direction of Head Coach Roberto
Ceciliano and Assistant Coaches Stephen Bellot and Julian Smith.

team took on the national team from Bermuda this Saturday at the Winton Rugby
Ground in Nassau. It was an epis battle

The “Bahamazing” experience for the
international guests coming to these shores for the second International
Association of Athletics Federations’ (IAAF) World Relay Championships,
actually starts with their arrival at the Lynden Pindling International
Airport (LPIA) in early May, and carries straight through until their
D’Anne L. Barrett, the Senior Director of Logistics
for the IAAF World Relays Bahamas 2015, said that her department is
looking forward to a smoother process this year having gone through it a
year ago. The logistics personnel are in charge of meet and greet at
the airport, all airport services, accreditation of everyone with the
exception of the local and international media, and transportation just

Bahamas Star Gymnastics Return with Trove of Medals

The star power of the gymnasts of Bahamas Star Gymnastics (BSG),
sponsored by Bahamas Gymnastics Parent Booster Club, mingled with
Bahamian pride boosted the team to a treasure-trove of medals, most of
which were first place medals. The twelve member team competed in Lake
Mary, Florida over the past weekend at the 2015 Leprechaun Classic which
promoted an Irish St. Patrick’s Day theme.
Three petite and
dainty gymnasts sparked the trend of first place individual and
All-Around finishes. In the first session, Rhianna Smith in her age

Tabernacle Baptist's 4x1 senior boys relay team
set a new national record at the recent National High School Track and
Field Championships in Nassau. As a result of their success, Minister

Brazil, the Bahamas will play Bermuda in March in one of seven pairings
as qualifying starts for the 2018 tournament in Russia.
The governing body for North and Central America and the Caribbean
held the first draw Thursday night. The other first-round pairings are
Barbados-U.S. Virgin Islands; Belize-Cayman Islands; British Virgin

Grand Bahama has a lot to be proud of with the skyrocketing progress of Jonquel Jones!
The 21 year old George Washington’s 6-foot-4 junior post player was
just named by Atlantic 10 coaches, the league’s Player of the Year and
its Defensive Player of the Year.
On the school's website, her
coach wrote, “It’s a great honour that Jonquel was recognised as Player
of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year because of the impact that
she has on both ends of the court. I’m incredibly proud of her."
