now be called the “Dog Days Half Marathon in Memory of Sir Jack

Cayman Airways Invitational Youth Cup attracts professional U15 football teams

GEORGE TOWN, Grand Cayman – The second
annual Under 15 Cayman Airways Invitational Youth Cup will take place
Tuesday May 5 – Sunday May 10 2015 and will feature eight local and
international football teams.
The upcoming tournament will host:
Ipswich Town FC (United Kingdom), IMG Academy (Florida), Chicago Fire
(Chicago), St George’s College (Jamaica), and FC Motagua (Honduras). All
five teams will make their way to Cayman for the five-day tournament
where local teams Academy Select, West Bay Select, and the Cayman

double delight at the 2015 IAAF World Relays.
Usain Bolt, who
was christened with his 'Lightning Bolt' nickname by the Bahamians during the
2002 Carifta Games in New Providence, where he won the Under – 18 boys 200m in
21.12 and the 400m in 47.33, will return to The Bahamas for the first time
since the 2005 Central America and Caribbean Games.

turned out at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium
on Friday night for the
kickoff to the Bahamas National High School Relays 2015 – the Test Event
leading up to the IAAF/BTC World Relays Bahamas 2015.

It was an exciting and successful competition for The Bahamas swimming team as they finished in the lead spot for
team points at the 44th annual Carifta swimming championships held at
the Barbados Aquatics Center from April 4-8th. As for medals The
Bahamas collected 54 in total with an outstanding 29 gold, 17 silver, and 8 bronze.
Setting a new age group (15-17) record and senior national record in the 400m for The Bahamas, Joanna Evans came out on top with 4:59.25. Evans has automatically qualified for the Pan Am Games...

IAAF: The world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, will compete at the
IAAF / BTC World Relays, Bahamas 2015, the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) announced on Tuesday (7).
The second edition of this innovative and exciting competition takes place in Nassau, The Bahamas, on the weekend of 2-3 May.
JAAA met on Tuesday to decide the national team for the competition and
selected the multiple world and Olympic champion, and world record
holder, to compete on both days in Nassau.
