Grand Bahama, also known as the Magic City came alive this past weekend
as hundreds of Bahamians flocked to Taino Beach for the 19th Annual GB
Regatta and the crowd pleasing Sands ‘Man In the Boat’ sculling races.
In an effort to heighten the
awareness of the Regatta and as an official sponsor, the Bahamian
Brewery and Beverage Company kicked off the festivities with a motorcade
throughout the streets of Grand Bahama on Thursday July 17th handing

YMCA Freeport to build 4-court tennis centre

- The YMCA has broken ground for a new four-court tennis centre that
will offer both youth and adult players the chance to enjoy this popular
sport in a safe and professional environment.

The technical meeting
is now completed and all the countries have completed the draw for
their respective placing on the pre setup schedule. Freedom Farm and
Grand Bahama had to draw to see who would be in Pool A or B, then the
countries selected letter placement on the schedule.
Once this was completed, coin flip was done for each game to determine the Home Team..

region are warming up for one of the most exciting events to hit the Caribbean
baseball circuit, the
2014 Caribbean Little League Regional Baseball Tournament.

have arrived for the Grand Bahama Regatta and Heritage Festival which
will be held this weekend at
Taino Beach on Friday, July 18th and
Saturday, July 19th.
While sailing and racing is going on

the discus 56.64 metres at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC)
Junior Championships in Mexico on the weekend, it earned The Bahamas yet

The Bahamas will benefit from new approaches
to developing athletes over careers and lifetimes after participating
in a regional workshop on Long-term Athlete Development (LTAD).
Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees hosted the LTAD
workshop over two days in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Clarence

RBC National Swimming Championships. Facilitated by the Bahamas Swimming
Federation (BSF), the 2014 National Swimming Championships will be held from
June 19-22, 2014. This year 12 swim clubs and 490 athletes are scheduled to
participate. The Swimming Nationals
