November 5th to 8th and be presented at the Atlantis Resort and British Colonial Hilton.
Bethel explains how the idea came about, mentions Islands which will be represented (some as far away as Fiji!), and discusses what will be featured at the exciting four-day event in New Providence. The event is set to be an annual one.

This year’s camp is again being held at the

The Bahamas Weekly News team (Dave and Robbin) contacted and interviewed snowboarder, twenty-two year old Korath Wright, who is presently visiting Nassau to promote and solidify his upcoming representation of his birth country, The Bahamas at the
2010 Winter Olympics
in Vancouver, Canada. This is a historic first for The Bahamas.
In this phone interview Korath shares how he got into snowboarding, how he was contacted to represent The Bahamas, and his plans over the next couple of years prior to the 2010 Olympics.

The Bahamas Weekly brings you an amazing audio interview, via phone from Brooklyn, New York, with Bahamian born, Chris "Kazi" Rolle, who is the focus behind the documentary film , "The Hip Hop Project", produced by Bruce Willis and Queen Latifah. Kazi has also been featured on Oprah on her "People Who Are Using Their Lives" segment.
In this interview Kazi explains about his life in The Bahamas, growing up in orphanages and foster homes, and how he made it to New York, and began hustling there to survive. He also speaks about the creation of Art Start's Hip-Hop Project, an outreach program which connects troubled teen to music industry professionals with the goal of producing rap albums reflecting real-life issues...

As Grand Bahama gears up for Claudette Dean's “Lumiere” Art Exhibition, opening to the public on Saturday, April 26th at the Freeport Art Centre, The Bahamas Weekly is pleased to present herewith, a one on one streaming audio interview with Claudette Dean that explains why one would want to attend. Claudette expresses the inspiration behind her work, the symbolism and she tells all about what's involved in putting together the production.
