Police are asking members of the public to come forth with any information they may have to assist in solving a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Friday 12th May 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 12:30am, police received a report of gunshots being fired on Whitaker Avenue off Carmichael Road. When officers arrived in the area they met the lifeless body of an adult male in the driver’s seat of a Chevy vehicle, who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene...

Police are appealing to members of the public to come forth with any information they have that can assist in solving a shooting incident that has left a man dead and another detained in serious condition on Saturday 6th May 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 9:00am, two adult males had just pulled up to a home located on Providence Avenue in a vehicle, when two males emerged from a vehicle and shot them. The vehicle sped off and the two suspects fled on foot. One of the males died on the scene and the other male was rushed to hospital where he remains in serious condition...

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2017, Police are pleased to report the arrest of one of the Royal Bahamas Police most wanted criminals Mark McKenzie, after being on the run for two years.

According to reports, McKenzie was arrested without incident around 2:00pm on Saturday 4th March 2017, when officers from the Firearm’s Tracing and Investigation Unit assisted by officers from the Eastern Division acting on intelligence, conducted a search of home located at Tundra Court, Winton Meadows and found McKenzie in possession of a .38 revolver and a .40 pistol with 28 live rounds of ammunition...
