Police in Grand Bahama are investigating the islands latest homicide

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Reports are that on Sunday 23rd February 2020, shortly before 2:00am, officers quickly responded to gunshots being fired in the Caravel Beach area on Polaris Drive near a business establishment. Officers met a male lying on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds about the body. EMS personnel were called to the scene and reported no signs of life.

Initial investigation revealed that there was an altercation involving a group of males in the area.

Police are aggressively investigating this matter and are appealing to the general public for anyone with information that can assist in this investigation to give them a call at telephone numbers 350-3106/12, 911/919 or call your nearest police station.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS) OR THE CENTRAL DETECTIVE UNIT AT 350-3106/12.
