RBPF Nassau: Police recovered illegal firearms

Nassau, Bahamas - The efforts of the men and women of the Royal Bahamas Police Force resulted in the removal of an illegal firearm from the Street of New Providence on Monday 30th June 2020.

According to reports, shortly before 7:00pm. officers from the Tourism Policing Unit while patrolling Fredrick Street observed a vehicle that aroused their suspicion. The officers stopped the vehicle and conducted a search, as a result they recovered a black Glock .45 pistol. Two males and a female were arrested and taken into custody.
Police are appealing to members of the public, who may have information that can assist with our investigations into this incident and other criminal matters, to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 502-9991/2, Crime stoppers at 38-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station
