POLICE RECOVERED AN ILLEGAL FIREARM
Nassau, Bahamas - The efforts of the men and women of the Royal Bahamas Police Force resulted in the removal of an illegal firearm from the Street of New Providence on Thursday 11th June, 2020.
According to reports, shortly before 6:00pm, officers from the Mobile Unit acting on information were led to Dowswell Street in the vicinity of the Eastern Parade Ground, where they conducted a search. The officers recovered a black and gray Berretta pistol. No arrest was made in connection with this incident.
DANGEROUS DRUGS RECOVERED – ONE ADULT MALE IN
CUSTODY
Police have recovered a quantity of dangerous drugs from the streets of New Providence, and have taken one male into custody on Thursday, 12th June, 2020.
According to reports, shortly before 4:00pm, officer from the Mobile Unit while in the area of East Bay Street, acting on information conducted a search of a male suspect. The officers recovered a plastic bag containing a quantity of suspected marijuana. The suspect was taken into custody and is expected to be formally charged before the
Magistrate Court.
