Police are investigating the circumstances of a plane crash which occurred Saturday, 21st March, 2020 in water off Eleuthera Island. 

Reports are that shortly before 2:00pm a twin engine aircraft, registration # N14178 crashed into the sea, near the settlement of Bouge, with three persons on board. No one was injured in this incident...

According to reports, shortly after 10:00pm, the victim was standing outside a nightclub on Price Street, Nassau Village, when he was approached by an armed man who shot him before running away. The injured man was transported to hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition...

Reports are that on Sunday 23rd February 2020, shortly before 2:00am, officers quickly responded to gunshots being fired in the Caravel Beach area on Polaris Drive near a business establishment. Officers met a male lying on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds about the body. EMS personnel were called to the scene and reported no signs of life.

Initial investigation revealed that there was an altercation involving a group of males in the area...

Police on the island of Eleuthera are investigation a shooting incident Monday, 3rd February 2020, which has left two adult males with injuries.   

According to reports, shortly after 9:00pm, the men were sitting in a yard in the settlement of Green Castle, when they were approached by an armed man who shot them before running away.  Both men were airlifted to New Providence for further medical attention. They are listed in stable condition.

Reports are that on Tuesday 29th January 2020, shortly after 7:00pm, police were called to the Weddell Avenue area where there were reports of gunshots being fired. Officers quickly responded and met a male lying on the ground with multiple gunshots about the body. The male was transported by ambulance to the Rand Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to injuries.

Police are aggressively investigating this matter and are appealing to the general public for anyone with information that can assist in this investigation to give them a call at telephone numbers 350-3106/12, 911/919 or call your nearest police station...

Police are pleased to report that suspect Ricardo Cartwright age 43 years, who was wanted in connection with a grievous harm investigation is in police custody. Cartwright turned himself in to investigators at the Central Detective Unit on Monday, 27th January, 2020, and is assisting with the investigation.

Cartwright is expected to be formally charged before a magistrate court on Wednesday, 29th January, 2020. The victim has been released from hospital.
