Reports are that shortly before 4:00am on Sunday 26th February 2017, a business owner was held up and robbed at gun point at his business establishment on East Sunrise Highway of a large amount of cash by a male brandishing a handgun. The culprit along with two other male suspects fled on foot in nearby bushes.

Quick response by police officers resulted in the capture of two male suspects. Police are searching for two other male suspects in connection with this matter...

Consistent with the Commissioners Policing Plan for 2017, Officers of the Mobile Division took a male into custody for firearm possession on Sunday 26th February 2017.

Reports are that shortly before 11:00pm, Mobile Officers were on routine patrol on East Sunrise Highway, when they stopped a vehicle that aroused their suspicion, a male passenger was searched where a .40 pistol with six live rounds of ammunition was discovered in his waist. The male was subsequently arrested and taken into police custody...

DEU arrest 6 after 633 pounds of marijuana found at home on Boatswain Hill - Feb 27, 2017 - 12:10:51 AM

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Police Plan for 2017, the courageous officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) has struck another blow in the operations of drug traffickers in the Bahamas, this time with the seizure of a large quantity of marijuana and the arrest of four suspects on Sunday 26th February 2017.

Reports are that shortly before 8:00am, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, acting on intelligence executed a search warrant on home located at Boatswain Hill off Carmichael Road, where they uncovered 633 pounds of marijuana.

Police have launched an island-wide manhunt and public appeal for a male suspect responsible for a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Sunday 26th February 2017.

Reports are that shortly before 3:00am, a man was at home with his girlfriend in Haven Subdivision off Soldier Road, when a man armed with a handgun entered and demanded cash. Police are appealing to the public for information to assist in their investigations into a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Saturday 25th February 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 8:00am, a man was sitting on a large rock at Ferguson’s Subdivision off Carmichael Road, when a male pulled up in a silver Nissan Primera motorcar and shot him before speeding off. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police are searching for a blue Honda motorcar that failed to stop at the scene of a traffic accident that has left a man dead on Saturday 18th February 2017.
