According to reports, shortly after 2:00pm, a juvenile male was walking on Finlayson Street off Poinciana Drive, when he was approached by a group of men, one armed with a shovel, who beat him about the head and body causing Injuries, before running away. The injured teen was transported to hospital, where he is presently detained in serious condition...

Reports are that on Thursday 6th June 2019  shortly after 6:00am, police were called to Forrest Drive, Abaco, where a black Mazda vehicle and a red and black Honda motorcycle were involved in a head on collision. The driver of the motorcycle, a 35 year old male of Abaco died at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Mazda vehicle, both resident of Marsh Harbour, Abaco, were taken to the Marsh Harbour Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries...

Reports are that on Wednesday 5th June 2019 shortly after 10:00am, an armed culprit while in the Treasure Cay area, held up and robbed a female of her handbag that contain personal items before fleeing the area in a dark colored vehicle.

Reports are that on Sunday 2nd June 2019 shortly before 3:00am, police were called to a resort on the island of Bimini where it was reported that a group of Mexican nationals all males, were involved in an altercation with a Dominican national (male). The Dominican national was reportedly beaten about the body. He was taken to the Bimini Clinic where he was seen by doctor and is listed in serious condition. He was later airlifted to New Providence for further medical attention...

Reports are that on Monday 27th May 2019 shortly before 9:00pm, police were alerted of a fire at the power plant of Bahamas Power and Light Company on North Bimini. Officers and members of the Bimini Volunteer Firefighters along with volunteers from Bimini Resort and the community, assisted in extinguishing the fire that destroyed two (2) main engines of the power plant.
