Reports are that on Sunday 30th September 2018 shortly after 1:00pm, police were called to Silver Palm Street, where it was reported that a group of persons were at that location, when a male jumped into the canal. After some time when the male did not resurface, another male went into water and retrieved him. CPR was administered...

The second incident occurred shortly after 9:00pm, reports are that two masked males, both armed with a firearm, entered a business establishment in Hunters, held up a security guard and a female employee and demanded cash. The female employee ran into the bathroom and was shot to the leg. Both bandits made good their escape by foot without any cash..

Police on Long Island are investigating a traffic accident which left an adult male dead, Wednesday, 26thtSeptember, 2018.

According to reports, shortly after 2:00pm, a male was driving a blue 2008 Honda Accord car in the area of McKenzie Hill, Hard Bargain, Long Island, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a wall. Medical Personnel were called to the scene, attempted to revive the victim but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene...

Reports are that on Wednesday 26th September 2018, shortly before 12:00 p.m., officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit and officers of the Central Detective Unit, were called to the Grand Bahama Shipyard, where they discovered attached to the bottom of a cargo vessel, a metal container with thirty eight wrapped packages of suspected marijuana inside. The estimated weight of the suspected marijuana is (86) lbs., with a street value of $86,000.00 eighty six thousand dollars...

Reports are that on Tuesday 25th September 2018, shortly after 1:00pm, Drug Enforcement Unit Officers, assisted by Bahamas Custom Officers, and acting on information, went to the Graveyard Corner, in Eight Mile Rock, where they conducted a search of nearby bushes and discovered a bag containing three (3) plastic bags of suspected marijuana and a chrome.22 revolver with (2) .22 rounds of ammunition. There were no suspects arrested in this matter...

Reports are that on Tuesday 25th September 2018, shortly after 3:00pm, officers of the Abaco District, acting on information, went to a residence in Leisure Lee, Abaco, where a search was conducted and officers discovered (1) .22 rifle, (1) .357 smith & wesson revolver, (19) .22 rounds, (6) .357 rounds, (1) 12 gauge shotgun, (1) partial 12 gauge shotgun, (2) barrels, (1) magazine, (1) cross bow, and (1) marijuana plant.

A female and a male were arrested and taken into police custody. They are expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate Court later this week...

Human body found in sand in Abaco - Sep 25, 2018 - 6:32:43 AM

Reports are that on Monday 24th September 2018 shortly before 6:00pm, police in Abaco were called to the beach area of Crossing Rock, where officers were shown a human body buried in the sand. The body was retrieved by police and taken to the Marsh Harbor Clinic. An autopsy would be performed to determine the exact cause of death and further investigation by police to its identification.

Reports are that on Thursday 20th September 2018, shortly after 12:00pm, police were alerted of a drowning of a Bahamian male, who was a crew member on board a 45 ft. fishing vessel named “Dawn Celeste”. Further investigation revealed that while diving in waters of the Great Isaac, the victim was found lying at the bottom of the ocean unresponsive. He was taken to the Bimini Clinic, and later pronounced dead. An autopsy would be performed to determine the exact cause of death...

Reports are that on Wednesday 19th September 2018, shortly after 4:00pm, officers in the Abaco District, acting on information, proceeded to an area on Earnest Dean Highway, just south of the International Airport, where they discovered a large marijuana field with marijuana plants ranging from 1 ft. to 7 ft. in height.

The plants were all uprooted and collected. The total count of the plants are 387 plants, with a street value of $154,800.00...

Reports are that on Monday 17th September 2018, shortly after 9:00pm, officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit, while on mobile patrol in the Bass Lane area, observed a group of males in an abandoned building. The males on seeing the officers fled the area on foot. Officers then searched the abandoned building and discovers (15).223 rounds of ammunition, (60) .40 rounds of ammunition, and (34) 9mm rounds of ammunition with a total of (109) rounds of ammunition...
