VERACRUZ, Mexico - The Central American and Caribbean Games women's 50m freestyle event saw a familiar face finishing in its top spot as Bahamian Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace earned another gold with a time of 25.24. This gold will go along with her other 3 gold medals earned during this competition.

Earlier this week she won the 50m and 100m butterfly races, and the 100m freestyle. Puerto Rico's Vanessa Garcia took silver in the 50m with 25.63, and Mexico's Liliana Ibanez (Mexico) took bronze at 26.04.

24-year-old Arianna trains with Coach David Marsh at SwimMACElite, and swims collegiately in the USA for Auburn University. She swam for The Bahamas at the 2008 Olympics. The four gold medals you see on the medal board are all hers, and the two silver belong to Joanna Evans of Grand Bahama.

Vanderpool-Wallace swam in the 4 x 100m women's relay team along with Evans, Weech and Albury-Higgs. Their time was 3:53.61. Mexico came first (3:47.89) followed by Colombia (3:48.89) and then Venezuela (3:51.16).
