TheBahamasWeekly.com wishes you a Happy  New Year and hope that your 2012 brings you every success!

2011 has been another wonderful year for The Bahamas Weekly and we wish to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU to our viewers, subscribers, our advertising members and clients, our media partners, P.R. agents, contributing photographers, and our valued columnists!

We could not achieve top placement in Google, Yahoo and other search engines with so many of our articles without your support. We are now over 18,500 articles and growing.

The Bahamas Weekly proudly supports, sponsors or has partnered with the FLIFF on Location: Grand Bahama Island Film Festival,
Grand Bahama Performing Arts Society, Women's Empowerment Summit, Bahamas Chamber of Commerce, the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce, Islands of the World Fashion Week, the Bahamas Humane Society, the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Bahamas International Film Festival, the Mark Knowles Celebrity Tennis Invitational, the Conchman triathlon,  the Miss Grand Bahama Beauty Pageant, Rotary Clubs of the Bahamas and their subsidiary groups, Santa's Helpers, the Heart Foundation Ball, the Grand Bahama Red Rose Ball, the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas, the Salvation Army, Bahamas Air Sea and Rescue (BASRA Nassau and BASRA Grand Bahama), Theodore Elyett's Miss Teen Bahamas, The Turks and Caicos Sun, Conch Salad TV, Ride for Hope, Bahamas Law Enforcement Sports Challenge, Bahamas Local, and Supermodel of the Bahamas.

In 2011 we celebrated our 5th anniversary as TheBahamasWeekly.com!

In 2011 we opened our Canadian bureau, which has proved to be a cutting edge advantage not only in hours spent productively due to the time difference, but also for the benefit of the bird's eye view from outside of the country, allowing us an interesting perspective, but also the ability to be operating no matter what is taking place in The Bahamas, i.e. storms, power outages, etc.

In 2011 we beefed up our Facebook promotions by partnering with SkyBahamas Airlines, and throughout 2011 we've given away a Free Flight on SkyBahamas every single month!  We also partnered with Pelican Bay Hotel and are giving away a 1 Night Stay at Pelican Bay!

In 2011 we've commenced bringing you community bulletins from the Royal Bahamas Police Force. Although crime is not pleasant, we feel this partnership allows YOU to know what's happening in your community, often just hours after it's occurred; and this initiative can have a huge community impact, and help collectively keep The Bahamas a safer place for all.

In 2011 we were THERE to cover the first ever  Flash Mob to hit the Bahamas, for the grand opening of the Grand Gallery at the Grand Lucayan Resort, the forum on the Hawksbill Creek Agreement, the inaugural FLIFF on Location film festival in Grand Bahama, interview with actor Dennis Haysbert, Jully Black in concert at Port Lucaya Marketplace, the We the People launch in Grand Bahama, the inaugural trip of Up with People international group to Grand Bahama, the Grand Bahama premiere of Bahamian film, Wind Jammers, and interview with boxing great, Sherman 'Tank' Williams .

Facebook and Twitter - we've got you covered! Prefer to read us on your favourite social media? Join us with thousands of others on Facebook or Twitter today!  We experienced exponential growth in 2011 through these mediums.
