Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas - As part of the Halloween holiday
weekend, many Trick or Treaters showed up in large numbers at Sabor
Restaurant and Bar located at Pelican Bay Resort to enjoy the ghoulish Halloween
bash. As an incentive to encourage many to come out and participate
in the spooky night of festivities 1st and 2nd
prizes were awarded to best overall costume
and the best look alike.
On the panel were four judges
Susan Clegg-Missick, Events Coordinator and Promoter; Robbin Whachell,
Editor, The Bahamas Weekly; Rico Smith, Stylist, La Belle Beauty
Salon; and Karen Clarke, Founder of Thayers.com who all had a tough time trying to select the
right winners amongst the wonderfully dressed enchanting witches, seductive vampires, mischievous
nurses, cunning pirates, glamorous superstars, rockers, punks, super
heroes, innocent angels, and many, many more.
Despite the difficulty selecting
the winners, due to the fact that so many of the guests made such tremendous effort
with their costumes, the judges managed to reach a unanimous decision.
A feeble-looking 'old mystery man' in mask who walked with a cane, but who also had the coolest
dance moves, took home the overall prize consisting of a weekend stay
for two at Pelican Bay Hotel including dinner for two at Sabor Restaurant
and Bar. The second prize of 25 free drinks, redeemable only at “FUNKY
FRIDAYS”, went to
best look-alike
Elvis Presley, otherwise known as Jay Sterling, a newly wed from only the night before.

Sabor management and staff also
showed up for work dressed in costumes as part of the fun for the Halloween
night. DJ President pleased the crowd with his devilish beats as guests danced the frightful
and creepy night away showing off their scary moves, in particular to such numbers as the catchy
Halloween hit, Thriller by Michael Jackson.
Events coordinator and promoter
Clegg-Missick, who has been responsible with organizing previous popular events at Sabor, such as the Ibiza White Party, Ibiza Latino Party, Summer Champagne Party, the Independence Day party and
currently the weekly “Funky Fridays” was very pleased
with the great turn out.
"I loved and enjoyed the high energy
that every one brought to the event and all the brilliant costumes.
We are trying to create and give our customers something unique, chic
and spicy with our events and
so far our customers, new and old, are pleased," said Clegg-Missick.
