TURKS & CAICOS - The Department of Economic Planning & Statistics, Ministry of Finance, Trade and Industry has published the 2013 External Merchandise Trade Figures. A copy is attached for your convenience.
The
figures indicate that despite the rather sluggish growth in 2012/13,
revenue from customs duties still accounted for more than a quarter of
public sector recurrent revenue and continues to be the major recurrent
revenue earner for the Turks and Caicos Islands. However, revenue from
merchandise exports was $4,675 in 2012/13, when compared to $45,795 in
2011/12; which shows a decline of 97.6% in the revenue generated from
exports.
