NASSAU, The Bahamas – As if the previous BAHARI collections were not impressive enough, the  2016 Spring Collection adds even more vibrancy and excitement to the Bahamian brand.

A photo-shoot held recently at The Cliffs, Cable Beach, showcased the 2016 Spring Collection; which consists of dresses, swimsuits for ladies and the distinctive premium t-shirts the brand is known for.“Spring is the season of new beginnings,” said Kyle Williams, Bahari Brand Manager. “Fresh buds bloom, animals awaken and the earth seems to come to life again. The Bahari Spring 2016 Collection is an exquisite representation of Bahamian flora and fauna, creatively transposed on ‘garment canvases’ and complimented by opulent accents.

BAHARI typically releases four collections per year and a special collection for the Independence holidays. The BAHARI brand was first introduced to the Bahamian public by way of its successful Independence collection in June 2014. The design team, at the time, sought only to test the market with its stylish and patriotic t-shirts. Much to the team’s delight, the inaugural collection was immensely successful and the rest is history.

The Miss Bahamas Organization can attest to BAHARI’s commitment to all things Bahamian. Last year BAHARI provided contestants of Miss Bahamas dresses for their official launch event.  In fact, Miss Bahamas Universe, Toria Nichole, is featured in the Spring 2016 collection.

BAHARI released its first full collection in the Fall of 2014, accompanied by a flagship store in Freeport in Circle Mall and a comprehensive e-commerce website at shopbahari.com. Several collections followed quickly after. Most notably, the brand’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection which marked the birth of their second retail store, this time in Nassau. BAHARI’s new location came to realization on Fifth Terrace and Rosetta Street West.

“The level of support that we continue to receive from the general public and our International customer base is overwhelming.” Kyle Williams, Bahari’s Brand Manager continued. “We’ve been able to shatter the notion that Bahamians do not support Bahamian products. Consumers are savvier than ever. In a time where the public is becoming more discerning of the products they buy, it’s extremely important to us that, although we’re a Bahamian brand, we maintain a level of quality and aesthetic that’s comparable or supersedes that of clothing brands all over the world.

“We were passionate about investing in the exterior of the building to create an aesthetic that would fit the brand,” said the Bahari creative team. “People already associated the building with BAHARI through our previous retailer partner-YNG, so it seemed like the most logical business decision if we were to open a location in Nassau, “ said Williams.

The 100% Bahamian owned and operated brand is definitely continuing to raise the standards of branding and fashion merchandising in The Bahamas. The brand represents the beauty and culture of The Bahamas, yet appeals to both visitors and locals alike.
