Fashion Forward at the Opening of Bahamas Parliament

NASSAU, The Bahamas -- Fashion forward on the Red Carpet at about 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, May 24 – local media clamoured to get fashion photos of the ladies, especially, and the new Members of Parliament at the Official Opening of Parliament, as they walked towards the House of Assembly before enthusiastic spectators.

The styles, the colours, designer flair all set the mood for an eagerly anticipated segment of the official opening ceremonies.

Popular was Mrs. Pat Minnis, the wife of Prime Minister the Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis, who wore a white dress with colorful floral bouquets, matched with a hot pink hat.

Fashionable ladies, starting with Mrs. Turnquest in her teal and aqua, and Mrs. Symonette in shades of white and silver, are featured in the photos.
