As Caribbean Fashionweek fever takes hold in Jamaica and the
wider Caribbean, The Gleaner continues to bring you regular updates on
the event through daily features, including Coming To CFW.
Among the many stars of fashion, film, music and beauties
who will grace the Caribbean Fashionweek (CFW) runway this year, will
be the gorgeous Miss Bahamas, Anastagia Pierre.
Pierre is expected to add her own special brand of pizzazz to the CFW runway.
No novice to the fashion scene, Pierre has rocked runways from
New York to Miami and is one of the Bahamas' most well-known
international models.
Pierre joins a superstar line-up of Pulse stars and other
internationals, including Trinidad's Leah Mari Guevara and Jerome
Alexander. Vogue's rising Pulse star, Alexia Palmer, will join
supermodels Jeneil Williams, Jaunel McKenzie, Sedene Blake, Oraine
Barrett, Nell Robinson, Nicole 'Sky' Grey and a host of others on the
Caribbean's most acclaimed runway.
Special nights
Apart from the Caribbean's best designers, international stylists
and celebrities, CFW 2011 will present Jamaica Night on June 10, with
Mavado and Tanya Stephens; Caribbean Night on Saturday, June 11, with
Machel Montana and David Rudder, backed by Fab Five; International Night
on Sunday, June 12, with Joe and Beenie Man. Other acts will be
announced.
Each year, CFW is attended by supermodels, special guests and
fashionistas from the wider Caribbean and several other parts of the
world.
