Pursuant to Article 42 of the Democratic National Alliance's Constitution, a Special Meeting was held on October 24th 2017 in which Christopher A. Mortimer became the DNA's Interim Leader following the resignation of Branville McCartney. After a nomination and election process, Arinthia S. Komolafe was elected to fill the deputy leader vacancy.
