Nassau, Bahamas - Statement from the PLP chairman, Fred Mitchell:

The nastiness and filth that now comes from the pen of the Chairman of the FNM about Philip Davis is getting worse.

This is clear from the latest filth in today's press release. It is clear that the FNM is getting desperate. They have no idea what to do or say.

So instead of discussing policy ideas, the FNM has to carry on like the market donkey, braying and braying. The calypso song says a jackass will prance and bray...let him bray....let him bray.

So that is the PLP's position on the FNM: they are braying like a jackass.

The facts are immutable about the cruise port in Grand Bahama. It is a PLP project. No lie; no FNM propaganda or press release is going to change that. We stand resolutely with Mr Davis on the point.

As for an apology from Mr Davis, the FNM had better not hold their breath waiting for it. Hell will freeze over first.

In the meantime, the FNM Chairman could do us all a favour...shut up and get Marvin Dames, Duane Sands and Carl Bethel to do the right thing. The three stand judicially condemned in the Frank Smith case. Resign now or the Prime Minister must fire them.
