2019 Junior Junkanoo Parade Winners Announced

Nassau, The Bahamas - Tarpum Bay Primary School rushed its way to a repeat winning performance in the Primary School Division in the 2019 Junior Junkanoo Parade held on Bay Street, Thursday, January 31, 2019.  L.W. Young won the Junior High School Division and the Government High School brought the Senior High School Division crown back to New Providence. Eighteen schools from around the country showcased their artistic talents.  Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Lanisha Rolle officially opened the festivities, joining a number of Cabinet Members, senior Government officials, Junkanoo stakeholders and family members in cheering on the youngsters.  The theme for this year’s parade was “Education is Key”.  (BIS Photos/Eric Rose)
