Agriculture and Marine Resources Minister, the Hon. Renward Wells on, December 14, paid a courtesy call on Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister, Grand Bahama, Senator the Hon. J. Kwasi Thompson. During the visit, Minister Thompson officially welcomed Minister Wells to Grand Bahama. The visiting Minister explained the purpose of his visit was to conduct site inspections and hold preliminary meetings with the Agriculture Ministry/BAIC offices and stakeholders in Freeport. Minister Wells said they also commissioned K-9, Animal Control Unit, and two vehicles. Accompanying the Minister during the courtesy call were: Executive Chairman, BAIC, the Hon. Miriam Emmanuel, MP; Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, the Hon. Carlton Bowleg, MP; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Resources, Phedra Rahming; General Manager, BAIC, Troy Sampson; resident BAIC Board of Directors, Vernal Martinborough; Senior Deputy General Manager, BAIC, Debbie Strachan; Deputy General Manager, BAIC, Judith Thompson; Executive Assistant to the Chairman, BAIC, Taneko Adams; Anya Symonette, Neville Johnson, Gregory Bethel, Gregory Rahming and Andrew Burrows, BAIC; as well as Acting General Manager, BAIC Freeport, Challa Cartwright; and Arthur Hield, BAIC Freeport.
