NASSAU, The Bahamas -- Delivering a presentation on Youth Development at The College of The Bahamas, Wednesday, the 59th and second term Mayor of Atlanta, Georgia, Kasim Reed shared three principles with the student body that would form a solid and credible foundation for success.

He urged the young people (1) to take advantage of educational opportunities as they prepare for the future; (2) to fall in love with hard work or what he called “the grind”; and (3) to always do the right thing by standing up for the greater good – the majority of people, even when policy decisions are made behind closed doors and out of the glare of the media and media scrutiny. The youthful crowd thoroughly enjoyed his presentation.

The forum on Youth Development was held at the Harry C. Moore Library and Information Center on the college campus.

The Mayor and his delegation made an Official Visit to The Bahamas August 25-27, 2015 and met with government officials, the police force, and clergy, to partner in the fight against crime.
